Donald Trump called for prominent talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel to be fired, with hopes that he "played a major part" in those decisions.

So one of the points for the election was the idea biden and harris went after free speech because they asked twitter to take down some articles. The same thing trump did during his first term( which maga always ignores for the sake of their whining )
Here we have trump calling for Kimmel and Fallon to be fired now because they make fun of him..which again that whole speech issue comes up as a sticking point.
Imagine if this was Obama or biden trying to remove hannity from the airwaves, or Bannon from his podcasts. Trying g to get rogans Spotify deal canceled..
Oh yeah thats right they arent little bitches like trump.
Maga will defend this on the idea that it trolls and makes the libs mad. That will be their only angle.
It's not just that they make fun of him. They perpetuate this cycle of legitimacy and authority that Democrats love so much and that helps prop up their delusions.
"I must be on the right side of history. All the "comedians" are making fun of the things they want me to oppose."
The point is they aren't really making fun of it. They're just paid puppets. Plus making proper fun of it would at least be funny. These folks have gotten long past not funny.
The reasoning become odd and circular.
"You say they're not funny. They why do they have a late night talk show?"
They have it because they're a paid puppet who isn't funny.
The lefttards always focus on the messenger and not the message. They want to grant authority based on WHO is saying it and not based on what is said.
So that is why you see all these hacks sitting together clapping like seals to support each other in what is supposed to be a competitive environment. Remember when you'd meet people who thought that wrestling was real? Those people are you now only with comedy and news.
It's expensive to be that fake.
Plus there's money to be made. The
PUBLIC airwaves are leased to these oligarchies with the understanding that they should serve the public. When instead they bleed money and don't serve the public then in the past those shows would be cancelled, the corporations would move on and find something better to put there.
But we've seen how these companies increasingly don't do that. They just create content deals to lock in the next round of profits, for a while using the synergy of them being giant multinational corporations. Basically the public has had to tune out and turn away to such a degree that even with that lock in, they can't make money.
People talk about Trump allowing or disallowing that merger. That isn't the point. The merger is just the next round of attempting to lock you into their entertainment bubble where you will "have" to give up your money to them.
It has failed. It will fail. There's no more world where you can ONLY watch a corporate approved hack at 11:30 PM at night and the alternative is you can watch it streamed the next day on their approved streaming sources that are bundled along.
What people do instead is... read a book, or listen to it in audio form, or listen or watch a podcast, or stream someone playing a videogame, or play a videogame, stream whatever, or put together a puzzle or whatever else they want to do instead of having an idiot box feed them their pre-approved brain mush.
These corporations should not be bleeding millions to force feed the public something they don't want to see on the public airwaves or use their owership of those deals to forcefeed them through other sources.
They don't get ratings. People don't watch them. They aren't funny, edgy or even competing against each other at this stage. They're a big happy club and you aren't in it.
Trump calling for that to die is a favor to us all.
