This as a result of McConnell on the shitty quality of GOP Senate candidates.

Trump? Seriously...shut up. Just shut the friggin frack up. You propped these losers up as the "great choice". As leader of the Senate, McConnell has every right in the world to complain about it because it's the GOP's chances of taking back the Senate on the line.

Trump's criticism is inane. What can McConnell do more to help them? Rick Scott seems to have seriously misspent the National Republican Senate Committee's war chest. This is what we get for having a man who had to pay out a fraud settlement to chair the NRSC.

Behold the leaders of your party.

You reap what you sow, and you guys sowed Dr Oz and Herschel Walker. 🤣

I'd give you 10 likes if I could. This post is proof the tide is pulling away from Trump. Congratulations and please spread the word.

Don't forget JD Vance. Another republican hypocritical loon.

I largely disagree. It is McConnell who should shut the hell up. Just a little over two months from the midterms, the turtle publicly shits on the GOP's chances of taking the Senate. If the GOP fails to flip the Senate the turtle's pessimism added to the republicans giving up the only leverage they had to prevent the dems latest massive spending bill by signing onto the chip subsidy bill when they did will have done far more damage then he thinks Trump endorsed candidates will do. And if all your are concerned with is a party win, what's the point? The GOP should stand for something. I left the party and went independent because they are largely ignoring conservative principles laid out in their platform. Maybe McConnell is just looking for something to blame other then his capitulation on the chips subsidy bill.

McConnell said what's true. All that babble in your post has nothing to do with the republicans losing the senate. It has to do with bad quality candidates. It also has to do with Trump's big mouth. If Trump would stay out of the races, perhaps some of the more educated republican voters could make up their own minds on who to vote for.

Don't forget what Trump did to Georgia in the 2021 senate election. It was his big mouth that lost both of those seats.

Spoken like a true librul. You are not concerned about more educated, you are concerned about maintaining the status quo with as many RINOs in the republican ranks as possible. What really bothers you is how much sway Trump still holds with the conservative base.

You're damn right. Trump has ruined the conservative base. The party of chaos and lies. The party of the uneducated. The party of Orban and Putin. I'm as concerned about it as Liz Cheney is.

imo, Trump and his followers are the RINO's in the Republican Party.

Look at Trump's Party affiliation through time. Seems he has been all over the political spectrum. Hardly makes him a conservative republican.

That suggests that you don't understand what went on in 2016. It was not just about Trump. It was about the populist conservative movement he tapped into, That movement began in 2010. Trump and his followers actually believe in the conservative principles laid out in the Republican Party Platform. That is why Trump still holds sway with the conservative base. McConnell just wants to return to status quo establishment RINO politics. That is what was rejected in 2016.

Ronald Reagan was a registered democrat for the majority of his adult life. What's your point? I don't give a rats ass what Trump's party affiliation was prior to his actually entering politics.

Trump represents the stupid chunk of the GOP party - the one that, for example, opposes the ACA without any understanding of it, and wants it repealed - but literally have no alternative plans.

Actual conservatives dont like Trump at all - although many recognize they can’t have power without him, because actual conservatives can’t get elected in large numbers, so they need to parrot the stupid stuff so they can retain power. In about a decade, its gonna be pretty embarrassing for them.

I know RR was a dem. I will be clearer. Trump changes Party's when he deems it is to his personal gain. That is a personal opinion.
Trump and some of his followers are the reason I recently left the Republican Party after belonging my whole life.

Trump had some good policies I agreed with. The Arizona GOP has gone way beyond that. Funny how Lake and Finchem brought up in the AZ Primary 2022 that they have discovered fraud. Would not say exactly what they discovered. They did take the State to court over the election system and early ballots. Now that they won the Primary, not a word.

Take Blake Masters. His adds where I am the only one that Trump supported. I am the only true Conservative. Not the Primary is done. His adds has him saying he is Independent. Yea, right.

Lake for Governor is funny, Claimed AZ does not use paper ballots. She filled one out. So did I.
Finchem and Lake don't trust the tabulation machins and want hand counts. Well since they won, guess they are ok with the totals.

Oh well....the GOP had the shot at getting rid of Donnie. Now McConnell is stuck with Donnie and the GOP Fascist Bund. Good luck selling that Mitch.

The point is Trump is an opportunist for the grift. If he thought (with his advisors) that he could have won the democratic nomination, he would have entered as a democrat. From the very beginning, Trump saw the gullibility of the conservative base. He said it hundreds of times. "I love the uneducated". I guess he does when they will send him their last dollar defending the 'Big Lie'. And he lied to them about that. There never was an election defense fund. But he sure collected well in excess of $100 million from his Cult.

To me it's more about philosophy then party. I am a Reagan conservative. I don't care about claims that Trump went republican for personal gain. I care that he went conservative and took stands and made promises that fell right in line with the party platform. And when elected, he largely followed through on them. You may be more into moderate republicans. I am not. I want the party to actually represent what they claim they represent in their platform. Otherwise what's the point?

Tell us all what their platform is if you don't mind. Last I heard, it was whatever Trump wants. In other words, they have no ideas for America other than to rule. McConnell said as much when interviewed a few months ago. He said: "Put us in power and we'll let you know what we're going to do"

Sorry, but I can't and won't trust any politician with that kind of an answer. They have no platform.

Yeah, the Republicans look like they’re headed for rough waters.

Dr. Oz is failing spectacularly Fetterman’s campaign has eviscerated his image. Fetterman cucks him at every turn. Democrats should take note of how Fetterman sets the narrative in his race. Too often Democrats respond to Republican accusations and play defense. Even if they have a rational explanation; if it isn’t delivered with force and gusto then it makes them look weaker to the public.

Herschel Walker I mean what were they thinking? He’s down about two points to incumbent Warnock and remember that seat was jettisoned by Trump’s irrational behavior after the election. that seat should be Republican! it’s by some stroke of luck that it’s in democratic hands and looks to remain in democratic hands as of today.

And I just saw that Wisconsinites are finally sick and tired of Ron Johnson’s shit you can probably blame Trump for that too. Wisconsinites tolerated all of Ron Johnson’s extremist positions but I guess being a traitor to the nation is too far

Let's not forget JD Vance and Blake Masters, Assuming current trends hold, Arizona will remain in the D column, and will be joined by Ohio.
I only hope that people actually go to the polls and vote instead of posting their opinions of how they would vote.

Nah. It’s awesome!

The more he pumps them up the crazier they act and every time it happens, an independent gets their wings.

Hope you like the wilderness, yer gonna be wandering it for some time!

You are confused. It is the republican party that creates or approves existing platforms. They vote on it every four years at convention time. The president has nothing to do with it. if you want to know what's in the platform, go to the GOP web site. It's available there.
