Trump announced this move, and was pretty clear it was a retaliatory move due to Colorado using mail in ballots. He's declaring war on blue states plain and simple. Colorado Springs (heavily republican) is the home of the Air Force Academy and an Air Force Base and was logically chosen by Biden to be the home of Space Command. Alabama however is a red state, and will do whatever the king requests.

5th column Beau is gonna be pissed about this...

Incorrect. Huntsville was the location chosen by the Air Force selection process and announced as the location of the headquarters in 2021. That is the logical place for it.

I had no idea the space force actually was a thing. I thought it was sci-fi comedy. I wonder if DOGE is aware of the money being spent on such a wacky idea. Mind you, since Trump is the one who thought of it, wackadoodles on the right will be ok with the idea regardless of the expenditure.

When in 2021?

As far as the "incorrect" bit, Trump his ownself said mail-in ballots were a factor.

But you people don't take him literally, I hear.

Not incorrect. Space Force has not been headquartered in Alabama. Space Force has been in Colorado since 2021. Trump is moving it...according to his own words....because Colorado has mail in voting. That is not a valid consideration, and a sign of a person abusing the power of his office.

Again, Huntsville was chosen as the location of the headquarters by the Air Force selection process and announced as such in January 2021. Colorado Springs was only ever supposed to be an interim location.

It’s a poison pill headed to the USSC for every illegal decision he makes, continuing to make attorneys great again.

He's pissy that we don't vote for him, and that we have mail-in voting. But we did give him one of his dumbest worshippers in Boebert, that should count for something; lol.

Huntsville was chosen by Trump's appointed Secretary of the Navy, Barbara Barrett, after his defeat in 2020. It was immediately changed back to Colorado Springs by Biden.
Is there any wonder that Trump's appointee would make that call?

Elections have consequences. Trump will also concentrate his “mass deportation” efforts on big ‘blue’ (sanctuary?) cities, in order to raise their labor costs while decreasing their total populations - resulting in them having fewer US House seats and EC delegates after the 2030 census.

No doubt...do you think that is an acceptable "consequence" ? I find declaring war on cities that don't vote your way is beneath the office.

Considering that Huntsville is the home of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command, the Redstone Arsenal, and a laundry list of aerospace companies - it is no wonder that the Air Force selection process landed on Huntsville for the headquarters of the Space Force.

OK, then don’t vote for Trump. ;)

IMHO, Trump’s moving more federal employees from ‘blue’ to ‘red’ states is a politically wise idea.
