Yeah, I thought about that, too. I don't think that any mental condition is a cut-and-dried textbook case, but is almost always a certain amount of this, a certain amount of that...so you're probably right.

I'd say borderline personality disorder is a close fit.

Trump is an unknown. Clinton is a known. I vote unknown.

Organizations are filled with back stabbing snakes. I made the mistake of rehiring a worker that my previous boss had ushered out of the government office. He had connections so I had to be careful but he swore that he would not try to go around me and had learned his lesson. Within a few weeks he was expecting a promotion and to be put in charge of my employees as my "assistant director". I made the mistake of "feeding the alligator" with little increases in responsibility that he failed at (put your hand in his mouth and he will start eating you up your arm...nothing will satisfy them until "dad" is killed and out of their way).

When I started to be critical of his repeated lateness and failure at doing his job, he went behind my back to my boss - claiming that the whole department was in disarray because of poor management. I had let a cancer back into the workplace...it was going to be him or me.

Fortunately I had a good job coach. I did not tell the employee that i was aware that he was stabbing me in the back; rather I maneuvered him into a job assignment "promotion' where he was likely to fail, and that the failure could not be blamed on anyone but him. He failed (as expected), left work under "stress leave" and when he returned a year later I promoted one of his employees into a job that supervised him - he quit.

I saved my job and learned a lesson - keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Once they betray you, find a way to drive them out the door without them knowing that you know.

Machiavelli would have approved! Remind me not to piss you off!

Fortunately, Trump isn't as smart as Hitler was, and Hitler also earned two Iron Crosses for bravery under fire IIRC. If Trump had actually had front-line combat experience, I'm not sure he could have been stopped.

Many Republicans are and will be leaving the Party. Now if the Dems run a program like Nixon did in 72, Democrats for Nixon, the downstream effect on that was substantial. They not only voted for Nixon but many did vote for Republicans running in their districts. We saw how well that worked.

Presidential Election of 1972

Actually, that is happening now, and it's not because they like Hillary. The Democratic party is cynically using them, just like Nixon used Democrats in 1972.

I'm now retired and done with employees. BUT I alway defended my employees and only had three rules: do your job, never lie to me and never go over my head without offering me an opportunity to join in resolving the problem.

After having screwed my previous boss (a great manager), he promised to follow my rules. He broke his promises and tried to get me fired because I tried to get him to come to work (he was always one to two hours late) and to deliver on time. After that I knew I had a snake. So it was nothing short of total war... by the way, the fellow later went to law school and became a shyster lawyer...figures.

Hmph. A lawyer. I've got no love for them, either. Sure, some of them are good people who try to do the right thing, but there's a lot of them that are as slimy as it gets.

Along the way I finally figured out that I didn't have the right mindset to be a good supervisor or boss. I think you probably understand that instinctively - there's some who are good at supervising, and some that might be very good workers, but couldn't supervise a pig pen. I'm one of the latter. No man likes to admit that, but...there it is.

While some intervention type meeting might have a rather short and temporary effect, in the end, Trump will be Trump and his natural instincts will take over and he simply repeat mistakes and errors over the next 96 days just as he has in the previous year. This is NOT a problem of educating a candidate to learn what he might now know. The problem here is that you have an authoritarian narcissist who believes only in himself and is driven by his own ego which has no discernible boundaries nor limits.

Yet another example of, "If they accuse us of it, then they must be doing it too, only worse!"

If you knew what you were talking about, you'd see that Trump never, ever admits fault, and you'd know that Obama simply couldn't be the same kind of person because Obama has indeed admitted fault on several occasions. You'd see that the moment someone says something that Trump takes as an insult, he attacks them back again and again...whereas if Obama attacked those who insulted him, he'd never get any sleep since he gets attacked all day every day by the Right.

But I get it. Any time we point out a problem with somebody on your side, you MUST accuse us of the same thing, only worse...even though you have precisely zero factual basis for your accusation.

Please document said apologies.

Really? It's that hard for you to Google "List Obama apologies"? Oh, wait - let me guess - you are absolutely, positively SURE that Obama's never apologized about anything ever - he's "King Barry", the most horribleist president ever, you know - and you know this because Fox or the Daily Caller - or even InfoWars - told you so.

But on the off chance that you'll actually pay attention, here's a short list:

A brief history of White House apologies

- March 2009. After President Obama made a joke about the Special Olympics on the "Tonight Show," former press secretary Robert Gibbs offered regrets. "I know that the president believes that the Special Olympics are a triumph of the human spirit," he said, "and I think he understands that they deserve a lot better than — than the thoughtless joke that he made last night, and he apologizes for that."

- July 2009. Obama offers a sort-of apology for helping to "ratchet up" the incident in which a Cambridge police officer arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.

- October 2010. Gibbs apologizes for American experiments on Guatemalans in the 1940s. "This is — it’s tragic, and the United States, by all means, apologizes to all those that were impacted by this," Gibbs said at a news conference. "The president is slated to call the leader of Guatemala later today and personally express that apology."

- February 2012. In a letter to Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Obama apologizes for the burning of Korans by U.S. troops.

- May 2013. Obama apologizes and says Americans have a right to be angry after revelations that the Internal Revenue Service targeted conservative nonprofits several years previously.

- October 2013. Obama is forced to apologize to German Chancellor Angela Merkel after it is revealed that the NSA was tapping her cellphone.

- November 2013. Obama apologizes to people who had their health insurance canceled. "I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he said.

- November 2013. The president apologizes to Democrats who have come under fire for supporting Obamacare. "I feel deeply responsible," he said, "for making it harder for them rather than easier for them to continue to promote the core values that I think led them to support this thing in the first place, which is, in this country, as wealthy as we are, everybody should be able to have the security of affordable health care."

- December 2013. Obama apologizes for the Obamacare rollout in broad strokes. "I have acknowledged more than once that we didn’t roll out parts of this law as well as we should have," he said.

The president has also apologized to a number of individuals.

- He apologized for the firing of one-time USDA employee Shirley Sherrod early in his first term.

- In April 2013, Obama apologized to California Attorney General Kamala Harris after commenting on her appearance.

- Last February, he apologized to an art historian after casually insulting art history degrees.

- A few weeks ago, he apologized to an engaged couple for displacing their wedding so he could play golf.

He apologizes for America. That's about it.

When is he going to apologize for the ObamaCare lies?

No, you didn't pay attention, did you? You didn't read his quotes, but simply just replied with the snarkiest thing you could think of.

Because if you'd read his quotes, you'd have seen what he apologized for.

But I forget - you're off in the right-wing wonderland where Obama never ever apologized for anything, never ever admitted he was wrong about anything ever, where King Barry rules America with an iron fist and tramples all our freedoms under an iron heel.

And none dare tell you to take off your blinders.

?What xenophobic crap.[/QUOTE]

America can't afford xenophobia-we are broke thanks to the current leadership. Spin it however you want but that's the cold hard truth. And your leaders are so blatantly corrupt that the ship 400 million dollars in the dark of night to our enemy and claim to be morally better than everyone else. As I said, I'm a supporter of whomever is going to STOP giving America away. I'm not you enemy but I warn that people better wake up. We are so busy arguing that the leadership in power is selling us out day in and day out.

We all need to come together because we haven't seen anything yet. Barack Obama has just begun his destruction of our country. History will look back and see him as the must corrupt leader of our time and not just of our country. So you and I can argue day in and day out over trump and Hillary - that's just what Barack wants. Instead we should all try to see one thing that the other is saying. And then stop arguing and start researching.

If we all really care about this nation we will open up our eyes. But if you think that Barack Obama gave this money and made the deal with Iraq because he truly cares about you and me, please forget what I just said. I've wasted these minutes of my time....sorry.

And their very first words to Trump should be "Just shut your ****ing pie hole".

Article is here.

There are so many issues and tons of baggage to hit Hillary with. Yet Trump gets into these needless feuds. He has chronic foot in mouth disease. Still, the Republicans nominated him, they will have to live with him and the disastrous results his nomination will bring upon the GOP and the nation come November.

Shoot, I just thought of something. Nominating Trump means we all will have to live with the disastrous results in November beginning on 20 Jan 2017. Way to go GOP.

If he is as I suspect an honest-to-goodness narcissist (as I understand them) - and I've had one such working for me (and it was no fun) - such people refuse to believe they are ever wrong about anything. If it sounds good and reasonable to him at the moment, then he will believe it...even if he believed something totally different in past months or years. Anyone who tells him he's wrong automatically becomes an enemy, someone to be crushed or at least knocked out of the way (got a story about that, too)...but at the same time, he honestly won't understand why the other person is so angry with him - he will have no sense of empathy. It really is all about him, and the very idea that he might be wrong about something or that the other person might be right - he would see the very idea as ludicrous.

And the real frustration is that he can lie his ass off, but he'd pass any lie-detector test...because he honestly believes he's telling the truth. It sounds good and right and reasonable to him at the time, so it must be (to his mind) factual and truthful. Even if you show him a clear video of him saying something 180-out, he'll explain it away...and even if his explanation makes zero sense to any 'normal' person, it would be eminently sensible to him - and again, he'd easily pass the lie-detector test.

A good psychologist could make a career studying Trump...and I suspect that some will as the years go by - I expect the movie within two, no more than three years.

Trump is the impulsive sociopath to Clinton's Machiavellian psychopath; they're both egocentric narcissists albeit of different flavours.
