Trump’s portrait to be taken down at Colorado Capitol after president claimed it was ‘distorted’

The painting does seem to exaggerate Trump's chipmunk cheeks, and perhaps that's what he objects to. (?)

There is NO EVIDENCE OF ANY KIND that anything was done purposefully.

Maybe. But trump doesn't look angry or deranged.

As I noted on an earlier thread about the portrait, he looks calm. Almost statesmanlike.
 
Someday, the rest of the portraits might be taken down in a way reminiscent of ancient Egypt.

To me, the portrait of Obama looks like Obama.

The portrait of Trump looks like a caricature - the cheeks are puffed out like a chipmunk - esp. the right cheek. Maybe that was accidental, maybe not.

Anyways, it's good that they took it down.

Maybe, but trump doesn't look angry. Or petulant.

I think that in itself is a positive. I would have advised him to go with it.

The portrait of Trump doesn't portray reality at all. A more realistic pic would have demonstrated how his face looks like an arse.

Trump is a buffoon.

House Democrats said in a statement that the oil painting would be taken down at the request of Republican leaders in the Legislature. Colorado Republicans raised more than $10,000 through a GoFundMe account to commission the oil painting, which was unveiled in 2019.
 
This is rich.
Last week Trump's instagram account posted a photo of Biden's presidential photo removed from the White House and replaced with some juvenile snark and used a photoshopped version of his mug shot for his presidential photo.


He's such a petulant child. Again, does he not have anything better to do?
