Trump’s border czar says he’s sending National Guard to fight LA anti-ICE protests as clashes continue into second day

Okay, but how many work visas? 1? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? 1 million? 10 million?
Let's get American's back to work first. Then we will worry about how many we need.
Do these work visas apply to low-skill workers as well?
Why not. Industry should determine how many are needed. They should be the ones determining how many people are needed. Then the proper amount of legal workers can be brought. They need to be paid a fair wage and their share of taxes. Instead of a SS tax they should pay a work visa tax. This money is what should be used to run background checks and properly ID who is entering our country as well as Border Patrol and ICE.
For the sake of argument, let's assume every illegal immigrant was deported. And let's assume the border was sealed tight so not a single immigrant can enter improperly. Let's assume every American who wanted to work could actually get a job. Let's assume all the wages were fair according to a rate you set. Let's assume every single one of your conditions were met...
First off there should be no such thing as an illegal immigrant. Immigrant status should only be granted to people legally immigrating to this country. Not people breaking our laws and sneaking into the country or overstaying a visa.

For example, would you be okay with a visa system where it allowed at least 10 million immigrants from Central and South America to lawfully work in the U.S. on a conditional basis, meaning, if the government decided to deport them, they could just deport them after a specific period of time if the government chose to do so?
I want to allow immigrants from all over the world to come into our country not 1 or 2 privileged areas. A fair and equal system.
No I don't agree with just tossing them out for no reason. If they are migrating to this country then they should apply for and be issued immigrant status. If they break our laws then they are deported and banned for a period of time allowing other law abiding people from all over the world to take their place.

This isn't true.

"In fact, immigrants—including undocumented immigrants—are less likely to commit crimes than the U.S.-born. This is true at the national, state, county, and neighborhood levels, and for both violent and non-violent crime."
Everyone of them have broken our laws by being here illegally. Please.

This isn't true either.
I worked with and new a lot of illegal immigrants in the construction business over the years. The vas majority not only don't pay income tax or even have ID. Please
If they were working legally they would have a work visa and would be a legal immigrant. Save this for the clueless.

Oh, really? You worked with illegal immigrants? What was your experience working with them? How did they treat you? Were the illegal immigrants you worked with constantly breaking the law?
Most of the time we never talked. They didn't speak English. They were temporary help on job sites. I stayed clear of them. Trouble and crime always occurred around them and I did not want to get caught up in the trouble. They were never insured, bonded, or licensed to do the work they were doing. There was always trouble after the project was finished do to the lack of knowledge to do the job properly. I avoided projects that used illegal labor. I tried to avoid contractors who have no respect for the law and hire illegals. Contractors who don't follow the law generally do bad work. Best to stay clear of all the trouble and problems.

Since when do you care about people not paying taxes? You voted for this.
First off you have no idea who I voted for. You just make things up I see.
I take every legal tax deduction that is allowed by law. That is smart not illegal. Working illegally in this country for cash and not reporting it as income is illegal and a federal crime.

There is a lot of grey area on what is a legal tax deduction. I have been audited several times. Most of my deductions were approved but every now and then a deduction was not approved and I simply paid the tax. A lot of tax deductions have to be determined by an IRS auditor. I have called many times for preapproval and was told that an auditor would have to decide after the fact if it would be allowed in my particular situation. My cousin is an IRS auditor and I have called her many times about deductions. Most of the time she said to take the deduction but the only one that can approve any deduction is the auditor assigned to you.

Keep earning the epithet, and someday you will be a real Mad Lib boy.

This is why nobody takes your posts seriously.
Don't envy MC; you too can make the same transition. Though you might find it hard to get rid of the ass-ears. (That's an extension of the Pinocchio metaphor, for anyone curious.)

Have the NG troops and Marines left or are they staying?
Both are still there. Trump said each would be in central LA for 60 dayze which was from June 6th. This is for both the CA NG troops and the Marine active duty force whose 700 grunts is a gross overkill of troop strength for only two buildings.

But it's not a deadline nor is it set in stone. The NG case in the courts is seriously slowing to a crawl the Trump-Miller grand scheme to repeat LA and CA in other Blue cities in Blue states, which is to say to take a military control of 'em by federalizing the NG in each state. Trump-Miller are tying to get the NG to do this dirty work in each state that the active duty force will not do to scale.

Noem's request of May 9th to the Pentagon to provide 20,000 NG troops to do the mass deportation is being sat on by the JCS. Nothing happening with it. The Pentagon is opposed to it and completely.

First off you have no idea who I voted for. You just make things up I see.
Nah, I have a pretty good idea.

It is exactly what happened with me and Trump. I did not vote for Trump in the first election. I did not think he was the leader he is. He has proven his leadership abilities and I have changed my opinion based on what I have seen.

Who cares about your taxes? Clearly, you have no idea who Allen Weisselberg is.

Former Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg testified in court Thursday, describing how Donald Trump and two of his children allegedly participated in a scheme to defraud tax authorities.

The Trump Organization, the family real estate business that made Donald J. Trump a billionaire and propelled him from reality television to the White House, was convicted on Tuesday of tax fraud and other crimes, forever tarring the former president and the company that bears his name.

And was he brought up on charges, any more than Trump? If so, show us the citation.
And so was the Trump Organization.

It was neither of those. I am not responsible for your inability to comprehend what I posted.
You obviously had some examples of "chickening out" in mind, but you can't cite them. Trump's not the chicken here.

So it's your argument that now that he's President, Trump should allow illegals to not pay taxes, even after a court penalized his company for such an action.

You need to work on your "gotcha" skills.

THANK YOU. While I will admit that there are probably some Honest Juans who just do their work, keep their heads down, and stay out of trouble, I never believed the Lib myth that all illegals keep their noses clean. All citizens don't keep their noses clean, either. But they start off being ahead of the game by, you know, BEING CITIZENS.

Are you insane? I cited them in post #1043. At any rate, consider your undying devotion to him noted and laughed at.

No, that's not my argument. You really suck at this. And by "this," I mean analytical thinking.

It sounds like the illegal immigrants didn't bother you and they didn't commit any crimes.

Is that a fair assessment of your interactions with them?

Everyone of them committed a crime. They were here illegally.
Plus whenever the authorities showed up the job was shut down and the illegals were usually the cause. The illegals and the contractors using them were fined and/or arrested for the violations they had committed on that job site as well as others.
I made sure I was not a party to any and all their criminal actions. I tried to avoid even working for contractors who used them. There was always the possibility the job would be shut down and nobody would get paid because of the criminal actions taking place.

The real problem starts when the economy takes a down turn. They are the first released and do not have unemployment insurance. They usually have no savings and when starving almost always turn to crime to eat sad to say.
Plus when somebody gets hurt on the job site and their is an investigation all the criminal actions are exposed as well as the job shut down. Then it can be months or years before you are paid if you get paid. Plus most of the time it is the consumer who suffers from substandard work by people never trained or qualified to even do the job. Usually by the time the figure this out the contractor has moved on and is now working under another name in another state.
