Trans females in female sports

Should males at birth who say they are female be allowed to preform in female sports?

Not really. The grey is CREATED not actual.
Really?

A Doctor arbitrarily assigning a sex at birth backs your statement?

Arbitrary gender assignment is extremely grey, or perhaps that Doctor was Ordained by God to be the holy arbitrar of ambiguous genitalia?

I believe it is. There is really no grey in the question.

I chose not to hear, "if blah blah", "and blah blah", "but blah blah blah" and gum up the poll with speculation. The question stands as stated. You either think yes or no.
YOU think either yes or no, obviously avoiding discussion of the blah blah blah.

I think there are people who vote for a question a certain way because they know everyone will see how they vote and give them shit for it. Keeping it anonymous removes that equation. Personally, I think ALL polls should be anonymous, but that's just me.
I have never given a shit what people think of my votes. Is that a usual consideration for you?

When asked by the BBC for further explanation last year, a FIDE spokesperson said the organization would perform a “comprehensive analysis to understand the impact of various factors, including but not limited to, the role of testosterone levels, on chess performance.”

....Backlash to FIDE’s new regulations was swift and severe. .....
Go get a Big Hit sandwich and let us know how it tastes.

Black and white. It's always black and white with you righties.

I know my wife complains about how my testosterone levels are an unfair advantage for Monopoly or Risk, so I suppose I can relate. An intensely cerebral game such as Chess must give an exponentially higher advantage for those blessed with being male!!

It's about the kids, not who wins or loses.

Wrong. It competitive sports it is 100% about who wins and loses... there are many positive lessons from both, maybe more from losing.

Trans-females ARE females.

Wrong.

No one will change sex just to take a few more track medals.

Nobody but some zealots claim this. It is about protecting girls sports for girls.

Athletes need to stop making excuses and step up to the competition. I've coached tons of girls that can beat the crap out of boys. Let's get on with it.

I question the honesty of this statement or the level of "coaching" that you did. Why did some 15 and under boys soccer team beat the USA National Women's Team? My Varsity soccer girls team lost 7-2 to a boys 12 and under team. Some top ranked girl cross country runner beating some slow as younger boy does not mean as much as you think it does and I doubt you ever competed or played against girls, in practice situations, for example.

Jesus **** this is so irrelevant right now. You people and your orange god are kneecapping America for at least one generation.

Lots of people can multi-task...

Yes. First, because the public figures who led and are still leading the charge against trans girls playing girls and women's sports are some of the most inter-personally wicked and dishonest people in our country without exception. Second, because no trans girl is doing this for fame, glory and money, since hardly anyone watches female school, intramural, college and professional sports. And even if they were doing it for fame, glory and money...I do not care.

I am against bullying people. And the people who want trans people not to participate in sports or even exist publicly are the biggest bullies in our society.

There is no answer for "I am absolutely apathetic about sports and I really don't care what goes on".

Our bread and circuses have bread and circuses and those too have bread and circuses.

Our bread and circuses have bread and circuses and those too have bread and circuses.
And this is what social media and the desire for instant banal reinforcement has brought us to.

Here I thought it would be Idiocracy level "Go away bating!"

I don't care if they play in k-12 sports but college and onwards I'm not sure about. Definitely not professional sports. I voted yes in the poll even though its only partial agreement.

The four phases of a political issue that has been decisively won:

1. Supporters of the indefensible position loudly and angrily defend their position, and call you names if you disagree.

2. They loudly and angrily declare no one cares about this issue, and huff and stamp their feet to show you how little they care. But they no longer defend their position on its merits.

3. They actually give up and stop caring.

4. They memory-hole that they ever supported the indefensible position in the first place.

We have (mostly) moved beyond Phase 1 on this issue, and we are now in Phase 2. I am actually heartened to see so many radical "trans rights" activists doing the "Hmmph, no one cares" routine. It means they have mentally given up on this cause, even if they're going to pretend they haven't for a little while longer.

Imagine that. A male, at birth, saying he is a female.

Bodi's has the only right answer to your leading question:

Males compete against Males and Females compete against Females.

Radical trans activists...

Really? That discredits all of what you apparently spent so much effort composing.

What I see is an issue that is nothing more than a distraction tossing out red meat to feed the ignorant prejudiced masses.. and no that is the opposite of giving up and not defending, so don't try to lump me into that pigeon hole.

I did not pay much attention to it until it became a pathetic ploy to whip the "base" into a frothy frenzy. Now that we have endured well over a year of "frothing" and we are using gender dominated chess as a distraction for the insanity unfolding around us I am ****ing over it.

I note that you stamped your feet and said no one cares about this issue...and yet despite saying you still defended this position, you didn't actually do so.

Perhaps that was just an oversight, so now is your chance to defend it. Why do you think that male boxers should get in the ring with women and beat them up? Why is this good? Note the question: It's not how much you care, it's not anything about "the base" or whatever political tribe you dislike...it's to defend this policy on its merits. You said that's what you were doing, rather than what I outlined in Phase 2, so by all means go ahead.

It should be up to each independent sporting organization to decide. They should neither be forced to allow it, nor prohibited from allowing it, nor should they have the conditions or requirements imposed on them.

Yes, as long as it is based on the science and not on pressure from either side of the debate.

Generally, if you have went through male puberty you shouldn't compete against women in sports (At a level where there are prizes/cash at stake) where male puberty gives you a sizeable advantage.

Fans also get to decide
Most men don't care about women's sports. This is why I think this "outrage" is so much bullshit.

You all only turned into social justice warriors because your lord and savior, Trump, told you to.

Seriously, you guys made fun of women's sports. Hell, look at how you all treated women's NBA for years. Outside of the Soviets trying to cheat that one time...you guys gave absolutely no ****s whatsoever about women's sports. Let's be honest, here, ok?

This isn't about fair play for women for you guys: it's just another way for you all to be angry about trans folks.

I think trumps a ****ing idiot.

But of course: I dont need an idiot like trump to tell me that men shouldn't compete against women in women sports divisions.

Whatever happened to sanity and common sense?

No more government funding for ANY sports would quickly resolve this problem and question.

Let sports entities fund themselves.

And then they can make any rules they want 🤷‍♀️
