Toxic workplace in Kamala Harris’ office mirrors campaign woes

A report by Politico outlining the dysfunction and toxic environment in Vice President Kamala Harris’ office recalls similar stories about the final days of her 2020 presidential campaign, which fell apart before the first nominating contest.

As the wheels came off the then-California senator’s primary run, stories of mistreatment of employees and dissent in the ranks began bubbling up before eventually spilling into public view.

In November 2019, the Harris campaign’s state operations director, Kelly Mehlenbacher, stepped down. Her resignation letter contained a blistering account of mismanagement that had culminated in major staff layoffs days earlier.

So, before all of the ad hom attacks of the source here, just remember this was reported on by Politico. Certainly no right winger source...

What gets me is that the media would instantly go into the vapors at the reporting of one source saying something like this about Trump, but crickets on this report about Kamala...hmmmm...Wonder why that is...?

But, Kamala is not the smiling, cackling air head she comes off as...Appearantly she is quite the diva....

Anita Dunn, a senior adviser to the president, defended Flournoy as well as the decision to keep news of the border trip contained among a small group of people, saying Harris’ office didn’t want it to leak or “turn it into a spectacle.”

“It was closely held and there may be people whose feelings were a little hurt on her staff that they weren't brought into the discussion,” Dunn said. “But any suggestion that it was mishandled or kept a secret from people who needed to know about the arrangements or needed to know about it is absolutely not true.”

Asked if she was aware of the complaints about the VP’s office, Dunn replied that it was “not anywhere near what you are describing.”

So…whatever.

It looks like journalists looking for "palace intrigue" stories in an administration that is run competently and, more importantly, boringly. The writer is a White House correspondent (the writer for Politico; not the NYPost). After the last four years he must be bored to tears.

Female, sure, Mayor Willie attests to that....lol.....Black, well.....ok, but she is not black in the traditional sense of African American roots...Her mother is Indian, and her Father Jamacian....NOT African in any sense....

Since they are so busy pouncing on unimportant things...perhaps they would like to not ignore the fact that Biden met with the families of the missing in Surfside...and he didn't have cameras, reporters etc...he met with them in private for 3 hours and sat and listened and listened...he also met with the firefighters and the first responders that first arrived to the scene.

that isn't treating anyone like shit. If you work at a job that has managers and those managers have a meeting that doesn't include you, because you aren't a manager....it isn't personal...its business and you didn't need to know what their meeting was about or they would include you.
