Total Costs Tell the True Story of Obamacare.....

Advertising food stamps in Mexico?

Now, that's outrageous. It deserves to be a separate thread.

Heya DH. :2wave: Don't forget that Special Shout out to the Latins for his enrollment about week ago tho. He did tell them this was their last chance. Plus that their family member wouldn't have to worry about Ice breaking down their doors.

Enrollment in food stamps, or in the ACA?

Enrollment in the ACA.....he called it his Action Week For the Hispanics.

You don't believe the spin on the numbers do you?

I don't believe much of anything I hear about the ACA in general.

Well, what do you think is going on when Democrats come up with what they Call Mend Don't End? Then Produce a complete GOP Alternative to Obamacare?

Democrats have produced a complete GOP alternative to Obamacare?

I'm not sure I understood that one right.

So much has been said about the ACA that I'm skeptical of anything that is said by either party. Death panels, doctors leaving medicine in droves, cost of generics going up 1,000%, people signing up in great numbers, ruination of a great medical care system, saving the medical system, whatever. It's all a bunch of nonsense. The bottom line is that, should the ACA prove popular, it will be a blow to Republicans and if it doesn't it will be a blow to Democrats. Most of what is being claimed is a bunch of partisan (bleep!).

Yep.....well I should say Almost a GOP Alternative. Selling insurance over state lines.....the Repubs have said for years. Check it out.

Here Are The "Fixes" Democrats Want for Obamacare

Writing in today's POLITICO Magazine, Democratic Senators Heidi Heitkamp, Mary Landrie, Mark Begich, Mark Warner, Angus King and Joe Manchin are outlining some of the ways they think Obamacare can be fixed. Notice how many of these Senators represent red states.

First, we want to give consumers as many choices as possible when it comes to selecting their health plans. By providing a new, lower cost, high deductible option called the Copper Plan (in addition to the existing Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze-level options in the marketplace) we will give consumers more control over their own coverage, spur competition and, most importantly, increase affordability.

We also propose directing state insurance regulators to develop models for their states to sell health insurance across state lines. These multi-state models will help us discern the benefits and challenges of selling health insurance in this manner, and determine if it is a means to increasing choice and competition among plans—potentially driving down costs while maintaining quality and value.

Second, to ease the transition for employers, we want to expand the option for voluntary coverage for employers with fewer than 100 employees, about 98 percent of all businesses. This will enable small and mid-sized businesses to make their own choices for their businesses, and employees can shop for coverage on the individual marketplace.

Finally, we simply want to make it easier for individuals and families to access quality health coverage by offering more than one way for individuals to enroll. We seek to provide a permanent path—in addition to HealthCare.gov—for consumers to seamlessly enroll directly through insurers, while improving access for the agents and brokers whom many families and small businesses trust and rely upon for help with these decisions.

You can read the entire proposal here.....snip~

Like how they worded that.....a permanent path in addition with O'Care.

"Mend, don't end" is just precious. It should be "End, don't mend," IMO. For my part, I believe I'd stay far away from any "help" that is offered. The Repubs are capable of introducing any plan they might come up with, but thanks anyway. And I wouldn't be in any hurry to do so, either, since the ACA has left such a bad taste in peoples' minds. I think that what we'll end up with is a government single-payer plan, but that was always the goal anyway. All this chaos was necessary to get to that point. We'll see.

Well today.....I thought some good news did get out there showing people that most of the country isn't going for this. Half those Obama has signed up are mostly those who had coverage before. Politico and some others were about making sure the info got out there. Despite the Obama deflection with CNN and CBS. Plus you can see the Democrats are starting to buckle and walk from Obama. Especially any caught up in the Election for 2014.

If Obama and his team continue to lie with most of the country now not believing in him. It won't bode well for any that has their name next too his.

Yes, another shocking, SHOCKING untruth courtesy of FOX news.

From SALON:

"First of all, the program was actually started by George W. Bush in 2004, not Obama. Here’s then-Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman announcing the new program in July of 2004:

Many Mexican Americans and Mexican nationals working within the United States have limited awareness of eligibility for Food Stamps and other nutrition programs such as Women,\.”

You just don't get It. During the Bush administration they weren't running TV, radio and bill board adds in Mexico.

Even you say <"Mexican Americans and Mexican nationals working within the United States have limited awareness of eligibility for Food Stamps "<

If they are in the USA and working in the USA, why are the commercials being run in Mexico ? :thinking It sounds more like a LaRaza commercial telling Mexicans to come to America and get free stuff and Obama will not deport you.

During the past fifty years the first time I ever heard a commercial being broadcast in America telling people they may qualify for food stamps was during the Obama administration. Never once have I heard commercials promoting food stamps being broadcast during the G.W. Bush, Clinton, G.H. Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon or LBJ administrations. Not once, only during the Obama administration and they were being broadcasts to Mexican nationals living in Mexico not the USA.

Is the U.S. Army running recruiting advertisings in North Korea ? (I sure hope Valerie Jarrett doesn't see this post.)

Enrollment in food stamps, or in the ACA?

Hey Dittohead :2wave:

You live in Mexifornia or the Left Coast if you prefer. I'm sure you have been hearing those commercials that began to be aired over the radio. The one where men and women speaking perfect English with no accent saying they are "undocumented" but California is inside them. At the end of the commercial the California Endowment takes claim for the commercial.

The California Endowment is a community organization activist group. Likely a splinter group of the former ACORN.

California Endowment agenda is Obamacare for illegal aliens.

Yeah ... pretty cool ain't it? ... cancel 6 million who actually had healthcare and then take credit for making 6 million think they have it now.

That's a "complete plan", sell insurance over state lines?
Insurance is sold over state lines now. The caveat is that the seller must abide by the regulations of the state in which the insurance is sold. Setting up shop in the state that has the loosest regulations and selling to all 50 states is not allowed.

Ha !!!! I love it.

This is a scream ... they list 13 possible hardship examples to choose from and then ... didja notice the #14 Hardship?

"14 You experienced another hardship in obtaining health insurance. Please submit documentation if possible"

I'm not kidding.
This is the stuff of wicked satire.

This is precisely why I started the Humbolt Hardship a few weeks ago. I need drugs in order to sign up, but in order to get drugs, I have to sign up.

Sure. People like my family members. My husband's plan was terminated Dec.31 . Our Repub governor wanted nothing to do w the high risk pool insurance made available to us and others w seriously ill family members. Thank goodness for the A.C.A., his care continues.
I had high deductible insurance for my college student son -which( at considerable) expense covered almost nothing. Now, he has great insurance on an A.C.A. family plan.
Many Americans had faux insurance which covered almost nothing. These useless plans were canceled. Hopefully they are gone forever.

That is right!

Is there anyone, anywhere willing to look at the cost of health care???? Insurance companies are not going to "compete" and bring down the cost of anything. The always have competed in just 2 areas.
1)Cherry picking the healthiest enrollees (which resulted in the demise of Non-profit insurers in most states)
2)Finding ways to avoid paying for care.

I haven't heard those ads, but then I generally record everything and skip the ads. So, they want us to pay for health care for illegals. How generous that would be, particularly since our health care is the most expensive in the world.

Now, if we had a functioning Congress, perhaps we could have not only a less expensive health care system, but an end to illegal immigration as well. Ah, what a fantasy, what a dream world, a country with a congress that actually solves real world problems!

yeah yeah yeah ... you can call it the Humbolt Ouroboros Hardship and you can submit the symbol as your documentation ... I seriously doubt you'll get any pushback from the Sibelius crew.

No like button?

Oh, sure, there are lots of people looking at the cost of health care. The problem is, none of them are in Washington. All of them are somewhere on the paying end.

Do what so many others have done...get the drugs illegally, take them, show them how bad off you are now...drooling a little and wetting your pants helps, I'm told... and Voila! you get whatever you need to continue being a very happy worthwhile member of society. You will need to make the point that you need assistance money-wise to pay for those drugs, but that shouldn't be a problem...everyone understands that drugs are expensive.

Greetings, humbolt. :2wave:

Sounds like a plan. I submit that one would have to be on drugs to visit the ACA site. Have they ever fixed the security? It absolutely has to suck to have to get health insurance from that site. I won't.

When I read the stories about how visitors are being "coached," it does make me wonder. We have all been warned about giving your social security number on-line, or on the phone, to people you don't know, but they need it to sign you up, so what recourse do you have? It's just that they have had so many problems with the site that I'd be uneasy. For something this massive, wouldn't you expect to have a one-on-one meeting with someone, like you did when you bought insurance from your insurance guy originally?

Oh, absolutely. I don't buy such products on line. Who would trust a coach in this instance? I wouldn't, but I realize many are in a position in which they must. I swear I'd just claim a hardship and skip the documentation. If they ask for documentation, I'd tell them Obama knows all about it. The political left went a bridge too far, and now we're stuck with their bad ideas and abject stupidity. I'd hate to be raising my family now under these circumstances, and I feel for those who're suffering through this.
