It seems like fox is like the state news in Russia to them. It's all they consume, it's all they believe, they are not smart enough to even suspect it is lies and propaganda, even is they suspect, they don't care. I never knew there were so many weak, gullible and ignorant people in the US, watching trump and his worshipers was a real eye opener for me. All the racists and conspiracy nuts at the trump incited insurrection are representative of the new Trump Cult Party, the republican party is dead. Those in power who do not agree with trump are too weak and frightened to speak out, their silence is killing America.
 
The midterms will obviously be very telling in which way this country will be going. If the right takes back Congress, it will be bad news for democracy and sanity.

A minority fraction/demographic of self identified Dems watch Fox at any given time.

And of those Dems that watch Fox News, there’s no way to know how many tune in just for the “good entertainment” value, as described in your referenced article, which makes sense considering that most of the network’s personalities are clowns.

??? I pointed out that among cable viewers, the ones who pay for their news, FOX crushes CNN and MSNBC. You disagreed, presumably including broadcast news sources, which are free.
 
But that, to the bold, is not a "fact."

And I was referring to news consumption across mediums. The true picture of news consumership in America (really, the entire world of news sources) that puts Fox bragging rights in it’s proper perspective. A big fish in a tiny pond of conservative news sources.

I agree, I really hope there isn't so much cheating, manipulation, intimidation, voter suppression and interference by the Trump Party to silence the voice and stifle the vote of patriotic Americans who love our democracy, our country and all the people who make it the great place that it is.
 
Three points need to be made:

1) Trump had nothing to do with CNN's downfall which actually began over 20 years ago.

2) Tucker Carlson is commentary - NOT news.

3) Democrats like Tucker Carlson more than they like Rachel Maddow. . . . That's right - - - DEMOCRATS.

CNN is hemorraging viewers because they cannot be trusted to be objective in their reporting. They spin everything. The data indicates that Dems no longer believe CNN's reporting.

edit: CNN does have one anchor who is smart, and tries her best to be objective in her reporting: Dana Bash. The rest are awful "journalists".
MSNBC also has a good reporter who doesn't spin (or at least tries not to): Kelly O'Donnell.

Faux is only the most trusted name in news because their viewers are too dense to do their own fact checking.
 
1) Has nothing to do with Repubs trusting Trump's medical advice over the CDC's.
2) I know that and you know that, but tell it to the Trumpists, they don't know that.
3) As you point out Trucker is not a news source, Democrats watch Tucker for his facial expressions and entertainment value, NOT news.

Repubs/Trumpists;
FOX - 65%
ABC - 33%...
 
No.

Even if the number of Dems purported to watch Carlson is correct, that 101k viewers represent one demographic, and a very small fraction of all Dems.
