He won't be fine. Within a month he'll get his hand caught in an elevator, fall out of his chair, bang his head on a cabinet door in the canteen. By the 5 week he'll be broadcasting will laying on the floor with body parts in casts.

Insane to think he makes a million dollars each game sitting in the booth. I believe it would be a million a show if he did 17 games maybe less if he does preseason.

There is just so much money in the entertainment business that they just can't get rid of it fast enough.

To give you an idea of how much money there is in tv land the actors of the Friends TV series receive $20 million a year just for the reruns. The last two seasons the actors made one million each episode.

I realize a million is not what it was once.

But to put things in perspective there are probably people working in those stadiums for $15 a hour. The stadium worker making $120 for an 8 hour day would have to work almost 23 years without a day off to make what Tony makes in 3 hours.
 

Part of the players' salaries are coming from broadcast rights. How much of total revenue is that and figure 50% goes to players. A lot of people are being paid a lot during and by that broadcast.

There’s only 3 stations and they rotate turns. So you get one every 3 years

Let him keep fourteen years of backup QB money at today's rate (very generous). Let's say 5 m/y. That's x 14 = 70 m. He owes us, mostly the people of Dallas, 57 m. 10 to Texas, 20 to Dallas and the rest to a charity for choking victims.

Troy broadcast for 18 years? And how soon after Troy did Tony begin? That's a dynasty. The Cowboys can't do it on the field anymore but they can in the booth.

When I paid attention to games I put the radio local broadcast on.

He retired when he didn’t get a team for the 2001 season and was then broadcasting for the 2001 season
 
About $1 mil a game for Tony.. And instead of getting his ass kicked on the field he's going to be safely up in the booth. Good for him..
