Tom Cotton hits a new low, even for R's (not an easy task)

Question for Tom Cotton: Does even the guiltiest have a right to a defense according to US laws and Constitution? So what is your problem with defense lawyers?

This stupid dick apparently never read the Constitution. The Constitution gives EVERYONE the right to an attorney. Public defenders don't get to pick and choose their cases any more than the Defendant gets to pick his counsel. But there is this idiot Cotton, appealing to the morons on the right who also never read the Constitution.

Nazis? Seriously?

I'm wondering if there is any depth to the ignorance that permeates the right.

In 1957, President Eisenhower sent the 101st Airborne into Little Rock, AR. Their mission was to escort 9 school kids--black kids--to class.
Sometime later, President Kennedy federalized the Alabama National Guard to force integration of the University of Alabama. Now that republicans recite "voter fraud" more often than the pledge of allegiance (appropriate for them in my view), what do you think will happen when/if Stacey Abrams or a figure like her wins an election in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas, here in Texas, Idaho, Mississippi in the next 2-3 years (or 6 years if Biden is re-elected)? Do you think the incumbent will go quietly? If not...what would Biden do? Can you imagine seeing he 101st Airborne in Atlanta or his trying to federalize the rednecks?

I have massive respect for John Adams but in truth what he did was not looked upon favorably by the colonists in general. He took a lot of heat for doing it.
 
Judgment at Nuremberg had an amazing cast.... Spencer Tracy, Burt Lancaster, Richard Widmark, Marlene Dietrich... the list goes on. But you know the performance that really struck me? Maximilian Schnell as the German defense attorney. Powerful role.

Only the Nazis and the Soviets held kangaroo courts.

It's abundantly clear which direction Senator Cotton wants to take us.

Since The FBI never did a real investigation, I don't think we'll ever know if Kavanaugh is guilty or innocent. Judging from his reaction and demeanor in his hearings, I will lean toward guilty.

This kind of thing goes on all the time in these college dorms and at frat parties. 50/50 chance he did it.
 

It's a wonder that the left, the Dems, are the most politically ignorant party in 50+ yrs. All I hear from the LW side on this forum is what wrongs are committed by the RW, and certainly true attribution. But the Rep/con enemy is at the gates of democracy and the Dems have left them wide open and are asleep on guard. I don't hear even, rarely, crickets, that the Dems are F'g up on this forum. I expect my enemy to attack. I expect my defender to defend. However, my defender, the Dems, is neither defending nor going on the offense.

I suspect he shaved his beard because he thought it would enhance his "you must take me seriously" look. Give it up Tom. You are just an asshole. Not going to take an asshole seriously.

Cotton’s militant nature endangers societal. He displays an utter disdain for the Greater Good and our Common Welfare.
 
Oh, I'm sure he understands it. He just knows that his uneducated base doesn't know that and his saying it makes them love him more and will, thus re-elect him.
