It's becoming very clear that the federal government to whom we pay huge quantities of money, are quite unable to help the American people in perhaps the most serious challenge since we gained independence.

Do you think the states should seriously consider secession from the united states, since the beneficiaries are not the people of those states but the huge investors and private corporations that are in bed with the likes of Trump?

Tell me please, anyone, what did my wife and I get for the over 70,000 dollars we paid in federal taxes for 2019?

Tell me how I have benefited? what safety I enjoy? what motive we should have to continue such a relationship?

Why should millions of people continue to hand over free money?

Bad timing.

We need less drama, not more.

Well provide the state, city and county you live in and let us tell you what was provided.

If the Federal Government reaches the stage of collapse I think it will wind up being a moot point, however I think that states will need to consider grouping together and pooling resources. For instance, the states on the Pacific Coast would want to consider working together, maybe even extending plans and cooperation with neighboring states not on the coast, like New Mexico and Nevada, perhaps.

More to the point, I have been told that the other 49 states are my competitors for scarce medical resources, not my ally.

So why am I in a country with them?

You're not the only one who's thinking this. Government is nothing but a large criminal gang, secession just puts you under the thumb of a different group of thugs. The future is in privatizing everything, but it probably won't happen in our lifetime:

Southern Arizona is gonna hang out with Sonora.

California can come along too.

You want to be part of Mexico?

Naw, I would have said "Mexico". Sonora isn't really benefiting from their current arrangement, either.

Or is all of Mexico one homogenous mass to you?

Everything? Cops? Fire? Highways?
Military?
Keep your guns. Buy more. You'll need them for sure. Tell you one thing I know- if the government, and nobody distrusts government more than I but still, if the government isn't the biggest, meanest dog on the block someone else will be.

Robocop logo?

Yup.
Robocop wasn't so much a story about a mechanical policeman as much as it was a shot across the bow at corporate feudalists who dream of privatizing everything. It was a warning about the dangers of privatized law enforcement.

Whatever happened to the Citadel Project?

Oh, yeah, it was a scam that took Ayn Rand nuts to the cleaners.

Also wealth disparity.

Lol, this is precisely what I predicted years ago, in fact it was a post addressed to Mr Checkerboard. These types of privatized neighborhoods exist in Buenos Aires, where the wealthy people live behind gated walls, with shopping centers and police protection against the hoards of neer do wells that roam the public streets outside. It's like the modern day version of the fortified cities of ancient Europe.

I've lost count of the number of failed Galt's Gulch projects, seems that they all follow the same MLM pyramid scheme DNA, with the first investor winding up being the last man standing, surrounded by a bunch of disgruntled and disillusioned chumps.

No. But you can do something about that, on a micro level, by moving to Mexico. Prey tell your failure to do so.

Hmm... your "fair share" of $14K the annual per capita federal spending only amounted to about $28K - so you got screwed a bit. Instead of trying to take your whole state with you, it might be easier to simply move to another country.

California can come along too.

Speaking for Canada, we'll take Alaska, Washington and Oregon. Maine too, if they learn to drop that accent and Michigan because a fair number of them can skate and take a face-off.
If it's okay with them. We are Canada after all.

*pray.

For ****'s sake.

Anyway, screw you. YOU leave. If I leave, it's because the Gadsden Purchase left.

Maine is full of dicks, though. Make them their own country and invade them once in a while.

But grab those Yoopers quick, or we will.
