Tim Walz has described his family's IVF experience. But they used a different procedure

That's a load of bs. It all depends on what the underlying cause is.
Whatever you need to tell yourself for your fauxrage.

You're welcome to try to back up your claim, but I know you won't because I know for a fact it's wrong.

IUI falls between IVI and IVF, serving as a medically-assisted option that many try first. Prior to any procedure, doctors typically conduct a thorough assessment to understand any underlying issues.

Who is 'they'?

I would certainly be skeptical of any statement from a politician. Especially this one.
Millions of republicans in person and online and even Supreme Court justices who lied to Congress.

So they manufacture the IVF issue - and Walz lies about it? Why would he even do that?

He lied about his rank, about being in combat, and now IVF?

They corrected the error themselves.

"But Gwen Walz on Tuesday issued a statement that detailed the experience more comprehensively and disclosed that they relied on a different process known as intrauterine insemination, or IUI."

Right it can be a first step in some instances. That's it. It's very often the case that people do IVF and would never consider artifical insemination, especially if they know the cause of the infertility have the money to address it. Two very different things.

It truly is amazing how out of touch MAGA rubes are if they think this “gotcha” is a winning argument.

Hint: when your opposition is encouraging you to shout it from the rooftops, perhaps you may want to reconsider

I think, perhaps, this was a lie told to you, or has been misstated so often some have accepted it as fact. That certainly applies to the justices. I can't speak to the 'millions of republicans' you have spoken to about this.

He got caught and is trying to walk it back. Walz isn't an idiot. He knew what he was saying - and purposely couched his words on many occasions.

You can cry and plead and scream and claim it didn’t happen or won’t happen.

No one cares. It did happen and people remember. Your goose is cooked.

Why aren’t you happy??? You caught the car!!!

Sure. Democrats would love to keep the discussion FAR away from important issues like the economy and immigration. The last thing they want to do is talk about Biden's poor policies, or Harris's where she either agrees with Biden.... OR mirror's Trump's. Much better to keep the focus on thing that are contrived where they feel stronger.

I actually think Walz makes the ticket better - he's a better candidate than Harris. He's also a one-upper that likes to stretch the truth.

I'm not upset that people lied to you, or that this guy lied. Just pointing it out. You can either look for the truth, or don't. Just don't perpetuate the lies.

I would be skeptical of ALL the people running this election. None of them are good people. It's a horrible choice.

MAGAs are getting hammered on this.

The stark contrast of Harris-Walz decency against the Trump-MAGA ruminations just keeps getting sharper and more devastating to Trump-Vance-MAGAs.

There's just no light at the end of the MAGA tunnel. They're rumbling toward solid rock.

Harris is quite open about her support for the bi-partisan senate border bill.

1. The person you are voting for is not only a habitual liar, lying over 30,000 times during his term in office, but he's also a convicted felon, and a draft dodger who invented a fraudulent medical excuse, bone spurs, to avoid serving in Vietnam. Walz on the other hand made one off-hand exaggerated remark about carrying a weapon during war. So, no, I don't want to hear about you whining about Walz.

2. Some religious groups, such as the Catholic Church, oppose both IVF and IUI. So many people who will be voting for Harris/Walz fear all aspects of reproductive rights are under threat from Republicans, and understandably so. Given the actions of conservatives while in office, and the public statements of Republicans and groups like Project 2025, the threat is real and ever-present.

3. More people are more familiar with the term IVF than IUI, and Walz's personal story of his family's struggle with conceiving children with IUI is close enough to IVF treatment, that it makes practical sense for Walz to reference his family's medical treatment as IVF.

No Trump supporter can be treated seriously during any of these discussions, because it's clear, based on their support of Trump they don't care about anything. Nothing matters to them.

Nope.

This is not something you actually believe. You're supporting Trump.

I would be skeptical of ALL the people running this election.

No, you're not.

If you were you wouldn't support Trump.

He got caught and is trying to walk it back. Walz isn't an idiot. He knew what he was saying - and purposely couched his words on many occasions.

You're going to vote for Trump, a man who lied over 30,000 times while in office.

You. do. not. care.

You started this thread squawking about the issue, not a Democrat. If you’d like to discuss those other things, make a thread and I’m sure you will get plenty of Democrats to discuss them with you.

I do appreciate the (possibly subconscious) awareness required to try to derail your own failed thread though.

In some cases people may go right to IVF. Generally, IUI is done first and if unsuccessful then IVF is considered. Some insurances require IUI before IVF.

While they are two different things, it's really splitting hairs to try to go after Walz for this. For him and his family IUI worked, it changed nothing else

"Or Donald Trump"....???

I literally cited Donald Trump's history of lying in my post.

My bad, you appeared to be attempting to create a distinction via: "However, when politicians repeatedly tell unnecessary lies that are this stupid and easy to identify as lies, it starts to remind me of George Santos pretty quickly." If you were applying that to both Walz and Trump, I understand your confusion at my response and change it to "I agree" - even if we can debate the fact checking of both.

To be fair, my wife and son are off with her family camping, while I remain at home to look after the house and the animals. The has equated to staying up waaaaaay too late every single night, and I hadn't had my coffee yet. Yeah, that's the excuse I'm going with...hehe...

But lemme know...it still kinda reads that way to me, so the confirmation would be appreciated.
