Three Reasons To Wear A Mask IN Public

99.999% of all medical workers agree with me. Cut the conspiracies

They seem to also recommend that disposable masks be discarded about every 20 minutes.

Also that cloth masks are useless.

So if statistics prove you wrong, would you then wear a mask?

Well, here are the statistics:

View attachment 67346121

Now, what excuse are you going to come up with?

Wearing masks, cases, hospitalizations and deaths were all at their peak at the same time.

If the mitigation measures actually mitigated the spread, you would almost expect that the spread would have been mitigated.

Yes, we have a virus that mutates so the experts have to adjust their directives and so do all of us.

The original version of the virus was a virus and so is this virus.

ALL of the original mitigation measures that didn't work then are being recommended to work now.

What is the definition of insanity?

NO!! You wouldn't expect that, because THERE IS NO DATA ON THE ACTUAL USE OF MASKS !

STILL !!!

I can think of one good reason not to wear a mask.

I don’t want too.

Well that's a very good reason... for sociopaths and narcissists.

No - the only thing I smell through my mask is the combination of essential oils that I spray it with, which include a trace of isopropanol I mix it in. It allows me to keep my mask fresher with longer periods between changes. But that aside . . . .

I find it hard to understand why you insist on remaining impenetrably dense on this issue. People don't wear masks to protect themselves. We wear masks to protect others !! And this is the last time I'll bother to respond to your deliberate and persistent ignorance on this subject. You don't get it because you don't want to. If you insist on going through life being part of the problem, so be it. There are none so blind as those who will not see!

We all participated in a long and painful exercise in which many died, many more wee infected, all were inconvenienced and a very few prospered beyond any forecast.

Your mask treatments might be good and they might be hurtful.

Are they recommended by the FDA?

STILL !!!

During December and January, when I ventured out, every face I saw had a mask on it.

Every restaurant was vacant to the extent mandated by the government.

Every line-stander was 6 feet away from their nearest neighbor.

Was your experience different than mine?

We were told to do this and were told it was being done.

You sound like my 12 year old daughter when I have to make her,eat her veggies.

Big difference Dad. I’m 61 and she’s 12. She has to understandably comply. Me not so much.

Oh, I understand that. That's not my point.

The mentality expressed in "you not wanting to" resembles that of a 12 year old.

?? Were you everywhere in the country, at all times? Where I live folks had barely stopped wearing masks when the new variant numbers began to climb - and now everyone is in a mask again. I live in the most densely populated area of the country, and we don't have the current rise in COVID cases that many other places do, despite their lower population density, greater natural social distances, and more inviting outdoor living.

When COVID first broke on the scene at the end of January last year, I was on a job that required an hour long bus ride. NYC numbers started to skyrocket. As soon as everyone on mass transit put a mask on, the numbers cascaded downward. That's what the data showed, and it is not in question. Mask wearing significantly reduced the spread of the disease. That history won't be rewritten by you, or anyone else. We KNOW it was effective because we lived through it!

To me, it's just a matter of courtesy.

The choice for me is whether or not I choose to make another more or less comfortable.

The crests of the virus seems to be unpredictable. That you claim possession of this knowledge is interesting.

What we lived through shows that wearing masks or not allows the virus to spread.

NO! - There is no question about about what we here in NYC have directly experienced, just as there's no question about why our Delta variant "spike" is, percentage wise, no where near what is being expressed across parts of the country with current hot spots - and that's despite having population densities here that are orders of magnitude beyond the rest of the country, and more subway passenger miles than the rest of the country combined.

Widespread wearing of masks does have, and has had, a significant impact on suppressing the spread of this disease. Period. Stop befogging and distorting the meaning of the data, and stop proffering misinformation. It's time to move past this. Get over it.

LET IT GO!

So, then, no link to any study that demonstrates your assertion.

Here are a bunch that show you are wrong.

You are free to cling bitterly to your dogmatic compliance to the failed superstitions your prefer.

Just don't claim that they are related to science in any way.

Same bullshit as before. All your studies and data apply to the safety of the WEARERS!!!
You remain ineducable. I'll do my best to look past your persistent ignorance on the subject, but you can still expect me to continue to correct your foolish, dangerous misinformation wherever, and whenever I see it.

I am not sure why we are so damn worried about masks. they are not the most effective way of stopping the spread of viruses.

the most effective ways are to stay 6' apart, avoid direct touching of door handles and wash hands to excess.

The standard response from any Democrat.

You already "know it all" so any new information is despised.

For you, your opinions are all that matter. Facts can change as you change them. Your opinions are constant and will NEVER change.

Bravo !! How courageous of you to publicly admit that you don't know the difference between those who wear a mask, and those the masks protect. Is it as simple as that?

Like I said, you're ineducable.
