Jeffrey Clark, a former Justice Department civil lawyer with no criminal law experience, had wanted to investigate a conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was stolen, including via smart thermostats. Just hours before the Jan. 6 attack, Trump nearly made Clark the acting attorney general of the United States but backed off when Justice Department leadership threatened to resign en mass.

Federal authorities searched Clark's home in June 2022, and he now faces criminal charges in Georgia in the state racketeering case against Trump and others. Clark surrendered to authorities in August in that case and entered a not-guilty plea. He is also unindicted co-conspirator no. 4 in the federal election interference case brought by special counsel Jack Smith against Trump.

He's on the short list for Project 2025 and along with former Chuck Grassley minion Mike Davis, has promised a "three-week reign of terror" should Trump name him acting attorney general,[29]promising to staff a new administration with "full, proud MAGA warriors, anti-GOP establishment zealots, and eager and willing to test the boundaries of executive power to get Trump's way", which would include targeting and jailing critics in government and media.[28]
Patel had said on Bannon's podcast two days earlier: "We will go out and find the conspirators – not just in government, but in the media ... We're going to come after you. Whether it's criminally or civilly, we'll figure that out."[30][31]

The "new" part is that he repeatedly asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during a disbarment hearing on Wednesday.
Not going to save him from disbarment IMO

Zero sympathy for this guy. If you're stupid enough to put your law career on the line when you know you're lying, you deserve disbarrment. I hope all of trump's lackey lawyers lose their licenses.

Gosh, why is it all of Trump's lawyers...end up needing lawyers?

I did not read this in the opening post.
Did I miss it?

And Eastman is about to be disbarred. All for the Mad King.
