This is why there was a riot in Madison WI

What it boils down to, is that the anti-cop folks want to be able to break whatever law they want and be allowed to get away with it.

The arrest that led to the riot in Madison, Wisconsin last night
Perhaps they see the difference in response.

I do not condone or excuse the violence. The violence is not the same as the protests. Criminals are taking advantage of protests to commit acts of violence.

What is frustrating is watching the real message of racism being lost because the focus has left George Floyd and moved to criminals committing violence. It is easy to combine the 2 but they are not the same. Yes, you can find people claiming it is the same. However, any criminal can be a member of a larger group without representing the group.

I hope for peaceful protests and common sense institutional reform so this country can be better than it was yesterday. Our constant struggle for "more perfect" is being highlighted by our current events.

What was wrong with the police response in Madison?

Well, in the one video you can clearly see the young man peacefully explaining to the restaurant patrons the error of their ways and the path to redemption they should follow. He was clearly trying to help them, not disrupt them. He also totally cooperated with the police as they terrorized him, some other guy, a few pedestrians and a dog.

After the fine, peaceful gentleman who was just trying to help the restaurant patrons amend their ways temporarily escaped his oppressors in a heroic attempt to overcome the abuses of a racial system, that same system dispatched several more people beaters to block the view of citizen journalists who were merely documenting the beatings, kickings, floggings, strangulation etc. of the shining example of humanity at its best which Mr. Victim guy willingly and selflessly took on.

Victim guy's second attempt at slipping the bonds of oppression seems to have been less successful in action but did seem to spur the crowd on so it was successful in effect.

....

The fact that locals were defending that little ****head shows me that they simply don't deserve police protection. Let them handle their own issues as they see fit.

So what's the problem? We don't need police, we can protect ourselves, right?

You would rather someone had shot him when he threatened everyone with a baseball bat?

I don't watch a lot of TV, but have been watching coverage of what going on for the past month or so. What I have noticed in the past week or two is that the talking heads have been calling the people that are pulling down the statues all over the place "protestors" or "demonstrators"

Seems like you disagree with this characterization. What would you have the talking heads or news paper reporters call them?

How do you deal with a 70 IQ? That's about what we are dealing with.

The OP is a lie.

Anyone surprised?

BLM has morphed into BlackAntifa.

Time to deem them a terrorist organization and shut them down.

Look, its the imaginary bogeyman "Antifa"!

Why would they have shot him? He wasn't hurting anyone. Annoying, yes, hurting, no.

He was threatening them with a baseball bat. That's grounds to smoke his ass.

Considering the substance of your response, it is obvious you dream of a 70 IQ.

Watching the looters clean out shops , it appears democrats depend on their vote.

Well, that is your opinion anyway.

The arrest that led to the riot in Madison, Wisconsin last night

It was not exactly a riot. It was between 200 and 300 people who decided to tear down some of the statues surrounding the capital building for some of the stupidest reasons. One of the statues is what is called the "forward" statue which is to signify that the state is looking forward. They tore it down because they say the state is not looking forward but backward. I guess for the people who did this it was easier to tear down a statue than do the work to make the state look forward.

There was violence. It was a riot. A riot that started because a BLMatard wanted to be exempt from the law.
