This Is Why Democrat Energy Policies Don't Ever Work

In other words, older cars tend to be traded in or junked so newer cars can take their place. Solar farms, or any power plants, is no different. But I suppose some can't help trying to spread false or misinformation. Sometimes lying is easier than admit when one is wrong or something is working.
Whining about obsolete technology while cheering a return to coal is very special.

If you mean CO2 by "greenhouse gases" let us remember CO2 is NOT a "pollutant".
CO2 is deemed a pollutant under the EPA per the SCOTUS case Massachusetts v EPA (2007) and subsequently allows CO2 emissions to be regulated by the EPA. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 further solidifies the determination to that CO2 is a pollutant. CO2 is also greenhouse gas too.

Even if this were true. It proves NOTHING with regard to the cause supposedly being largely caused by human activity.
So you're saying the scientists are all wrong. Why?

I know, right? Which energy source is more antiquated (or dirtier) than coal? Rather than return to coal, at least go nuclear instead. Much better bang for the buck.

Nuclear plants would seem to have the longest lifespans, simply from their fortress-like structure, but are they impervious to technological advancement? The time involved in their construction would seem to make nuclear fusion susceptible to an advanced, safer and/or more economical alternative. But yeah, the coal advocates are special.

Anyway, if we're gonna go back, I vote for olive oil. Homer's "liquid gold." Lighting, cooking, cosmetics, pottery kiln firing, beer brewing and cooking in the eating sense perfect energy source.

Nobody wants coal. The world wants lithium, and so does Trump.

That's a stock assessment of American Battery Technology Company, a recycler and lithium mine owner. The company is overperforming and the market is very bullish.

Trump knows what's going on. His blathering about coal is red meat for the ignorant base, who don't know what's going on.

The idiot doesn't know how to pronounce the name of the state. Not Ne-vah-da.

That's Lithium Americas, which Trump has taken a stake in. ABTC's mine was also approved. Fast tracked as the name implies.

In August, the company's Tonopah Flats Lithium Project received approval from the FAST-41 Permitting Council and the National Energy Dominance Council, accelerating its permitting and commercialization process.

For someone who says he hates EVs, Trump has taken a keen interest in a major component in their manufacture.

Even "old" nuclear plants are more efficient and cleaner than standard fossil fuel plants. They are capable of a longer operational life (measured by dacades) and refitting one with newer technology is probably more cost effective than building a new plant from the ground up. The new thing being discussed are small modular reactors, which is like a miniature nuclear plant but able to produce enough power for hundreds of thousands of homes and be more versatile with location and be cheaper to operate and maintain than standard plants.

Are you for real? The point of going into business is to make a profit. Even if you are just a utility, the point is still the balance the books and stay in the black rather than run at a deficit. You have been in the political realm too long.
Yeah, I know the goal is to make money. I have no idea how you got the idea anyone was suggesting otherwise. This is a serious reading comprehension problem on your end.

Billion dollar bird killers: electricity transmission towers, coal plants.

Btw the largest killer of birds is feral cats.
I cannot believe after all this time you guys still pull that stunt. It isn't the common birds that people like me worry about; It are the endangered raptors.

Jeez... Is that intentional to shift the proper argument? I think not.

But then, I know that is what your talking point masters tell you to come back with...

My brother in law and his friends just blasted over 130 geese out of the air yesterday - for fun. In less than an hour.

They’re hunting for a month…shall we do some math? They can probably take down more birds than this solar farm does in a year. 😂

I really don’t care about random birds dying 😂😂😂
See my previous post.

Canaries love solar power apparently. ;)

Explain this, Mr. @Moderate Right.

The EV battery recycler determined it could make good money by repurposing old battery packs for the grid, and found an eager data center customer.

Redwood Energy is a profitable offshoot of profitable Redwood Materials.

Oh, by the way, you have your talking points mixed up, Mr. Moderate Right. Windmills are the evil bird killers, not solar panels.

JB Straubel likes birds. The little robots that are constantly cleaning the panels keep the birds away. Fencing keeps the horses and sheep away.

This is the new energy paradigm. Trump can't change it. Data centers are the new growth industry, and they require excessive amounts of energy. Luckily for us, there are people much smarter than Trump who are navigating his insane trade war successfully.
I wonder how much they are subsidized with tax credits, grants, and loans that will never be paid back?

No, however those that do not obviously go out of business. Or they are stupidly subsidized by the government.
Then I have no idea what the **** you're whining about. One energy company with a subsidy went out of business. Who gives a shit?

How many animals will die in the absence of a transition to clean energy? I mean, forget climate change, just the air pollution alone kills lots and lots of animals.

California needs to stop listening to pseudo-environmentalist Karens and actually do the green thing, which is to build lots of renewable energy.

So, you’re a big falcon advocate?

How many endangered falcons have been killed, exactly?
Are you pretending not to know the argument, or are you really sheltered from the facts?

I’m asking how many falcons actually died in this location in a decade.

You brought up the falcons…how many were killed?

I don't know about falcons specifically. The hugest concern right now are the Golden Eagles, Whooping Cranes, and California Condors. These ones can be made extinct from wind power.

The specific numbers do not matter because they are unacceptable. A small lass can have dramatic effects on these birds.

THEY ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES. Anyone just killing such birds would face penalties, and possibly jail time. Yet nobody cares when it is because of wind power killing them.

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

I have heard all the ignorant talking point brought up by indoctrinated sheople, about the million or so birds each years, and how cats kill more than windmills, even birds flying into building. Raptors do not get killed by cats, or fly into buildings. They live out where the wind farms are. they fly into blades spinning aver 100 MPH at the ends.

What stupid moronic talk. Rerlagating endangered species into the common group.

This thread is about a solar farm in CA.

Not wind power.

You going off about wind power in a thread talking about a solar farm in CA is pretty funny though.

I'm sorry. Concentrated solar is also an issue as they will fry a raptor while flying.

I'm sure you do. Don't waste that gift. Write a book.
'
The energy paradigm is changing. You can't change it with your imagination. If you're interested in businesses who don't pay back loans, look into Trump's bankruptcies.
