Nobody is giving me any concrete examples of the comforts and social events that should be allowed to people like Gacy, so we are sure we are not torturing them.

How is it vague? The rest of the developed world has rapists and murderers too. But they don’t have hellhole prisons like we do. Just copy their models.

And note: they have WAY lower recidivist rates.

Death Row cells are just like regular cell blocks. Inmates can speak with one another.

You misunderstand. I don't are about recidivist rates. I don't want violent assholes to ever walk the streets again. So coddle them, have campfire singalongs or whatever,but leave them locked up.

Yet the article says he was isolated in his cell.

So if they can talk with one another, they can scream at one another and keep up a cacophony night and day. That wouldn't be torture though, because it is socializing of a perverse sort.

No, but my response also wasn’t “I don’t care if people drown in the Mississippi. Let’s not have any policies to prevent drownings.”
