They are coming down

We already censor books in school...

If these people were disreputable, the south wouldn't have put up monuments to honor them. It's vandalism of the worst kind. And it's scarey.

A statue isn't going to tell you more about a person than a book. I didn't learn that General Lee commanded the Confederate Army by looking at a statue of him. Those statues exist for one reason: to honor the person and what he fought for. And I believe the vast majority of monuments are being removed through legal and legitimate means.

Well of course they weren't disreputable to the Confederates after the Civil War, they viewed them all as heroes.
 
There was nothing pretend about Lincoln's racism or resettlement policies. They're all a matter of public record.


and so was his changing those opinions later on so go away until you can have an honest discussion.

No, it is not. They were heroes to the south. Just because many in this new strange world we live in need unicorns doesn't change that.

Unicorns are pretend and the Confederacy has been dead for 150 years.
