There are some right wing commentators who call communists and their policies "Filth".

I'm not ready to go that far. I think there are multiple people who have been deceived into believing a false ideology by some talented propagandists in the media. Eventually, these false prophets will be exposed and we can return to being Americans.

Actually, this is a common misconception.

I, in fact, am the last communist. I've decided that all other communists are either "liberals" or "counter revolutionary" and that my specific beliefs are the only real communism.

The thing that turned me Left was simply looking at the results of American capitalism. Those “false prophets” are the Captains of American industry.

Industry produces situations and opportunities for people to work.

No work, no jobs.

I know, I know; that's the Democrat Party description of Utopia, but it doesn't create wealth for anyone.

Without the "Captains of Industry" that you seem to detest, the rest of us are just wandering nomads hoping we don't starve today.

I think that under the Marxist model, there are the Workers and then there are the Capitalists.

The workers are the oppressed and the Capitalists are the oppressors.

When a Worker OWNS the business he has become, by definition, a Capitalist.

Can a worker be a both the oppressor and the oppressed? I really don't know. Did Marx address this state of being?

Did he consider the possibility that such a transition was/is either possible or would actually be encouraged as it is now in the USA?

A poor understanding of Marxism. A small business owner such a shopkeeper would be a member of the Petit Bourgeoisie Class. A capitalist for sure but not particularly oppressive.
