I'm 80 and I hope you live long enough to see the folly I've seen True Believers fall into again and again. Hillary Clinton for instance was a Goldwater Girl in 1964 when I was one year shy of the voting age to vote for Goldwater whom I supported. We had to be 21 to vote back then.

I voted for Goldwater when I had finished my tour of duty in the Army and started my family, when the choice was a somewhat nutty war hawk and a committed leftist.
