The worst Gun(s) you have ever owned.

Ok

Of course. Because only one of us in this conversation knows anything about firearms.
You keep saying it, but youve backed up nothing.
It’s so funny when you think you fool anyone when you troll like this.
How do you figure my simple comment, prefaced by "my take on it is", is an attempt to fool anyone?

Please explain that bizare reasoning.

That'll be funny. He's basically being a church lady because he doesn't like something nobody else should either.
Not a church lady. A fudd.

An AR may not be the perfect tool but if you can only afford one rifle, it is much more versatile than say a bolt action rifle .30-06 or lever action .45-70.

😂

Thanks for proving my point. It is versatile. A jack of all trades and master of none, like a motor-sailor or a magic wrench.

That was my comment, which i prefaced by saying "my take on it is".

Now look at the vitriol and emotional outbursts that caused from you people and reflect on it.

Its weird.

I didn't "own" these per se, but I was a platoon armorer and SAW gunner when I was with 10th Mountain Division back in 2019-2021.

All the M249s that my platoon had brought back in 2019 from Afghanistan were straight dogshit. Literally malfunctioned constantly on a qual range and several ended up being completely nonfunctional. Probably cause they were old and beat to hell.

Luckily they all had an unfixable defect with the rail mounts that allowed me to request an set of refurbished SAWs.

I didn't like my little Ruger LCP .380

my Dad's Ruger .22 rifle is very finicky on rounds - shoot the wrong ones and it'll jam every one of them

his Mossberg shotgun is an incredible mule kicker of a gun

the first I traded, the other two I'll die with them in my safe

I wasn't crazy about an AR-15 either. My complaint was not that it didn't have to use it certainly does. This may sound strange but my issue with it was it was too easy. I like rifles that are a little bit of a challenge. When I take it to the range I'd burn up the ammo so fast. The 30-06 a box would last me an hour. That gun was a bit of a challenge it still is and I still love shooting it. But for a dependable ready to go out of the box type thing I get the appeal to an AR-15.
I moved away from DI to piston on all my AR platforms and I am happier for it; I was looking at a Nemo firearms in 300 WM, but they only have DI available for now, and I don't want to go through the hassle of getting it converted later...its already too expensive.

.300 Winchester Magnum? That upper must look a little different from a regular AR-15 upper.

Edit: Went and looked. Whew. Kinda pricey.

I've kind of got an itch for a 45-70. I would love to find a single shot version break acting that's hard to come by with rifles. I'm not sure if it's possible with the more powerful end of them. Loved this old 30-30 my uncle had that was breach action.

Yes. "Rather my sister in a whorehouse than my brother with a Glock."

I kid, I kid. :)

I think we have a winner (disclaimer, I have never owned one). SIG P320

Uncommanded discharges are not good. Really not good.
Bad juju...makes me think of the old Nambu type 94; it had an exposed sear on the outside and tapping or holstering it too roughly would cause it to fire.

Yeah the Army made a great choice with buying that POS.
We have both Glocks and M17s in our arms room and the only people who use the M17s are those who have extensively modified them. And that’s still a small percentage. Most of them just sit collecting dust.

Honestly, pistols are superfluous for most military folks. More of a status symbol. You don’t have enough rounds to fight. They actually require a bit of practice to be accurate. A PDW like the Scorpion or Sig MPX (spiritual successor to the M-1 carbine) is much more useful. Even the USAF realized that aircrew needed more than pistols and developed a breakdown AR-15 that fits in the ejection seat survival kit.

Never met anyone that thought a pistol was a status symbol but I am sure someone that’s a thing.
There is no doubt that a pistol is a poor substitute for an actual rifle. But then the reason I carry a pistol is as a backup to my primary. And I am not strapping a PDW to my leg.

Bit of a joke.

What is the real reason for a pistol? To fight your way to your rifle.

Rear echelon troops should be issued PDWs (that can be slung) vice pistols. Just my opinion.

No real reason for them to have a pdw. An m4 is small enough.

Just the way I see it. The ar is the jack of all trades master of none.

I find it rather funny that every time i say that it upsets so many of you like you are emotionally invested in it as part of your manhood or something.

Too funny.
Your completely uneducated opinions about firearms that you cannot comprehend is quite hilarious.
