For me, a picture (or map) is worth a thousand words. These maps from the UK's Ministry of Defence twitter site are a great way to follow the progress of the war.

This map from March 22 shows the war at Russia's greatest advance, threatening Kyiv:

Lately the action has shifted to easter Ukraine, where the Ukraine army is trying to push Russia back from Kharkiv. The Russians consolidated the territory between Izium and Luhansk.

Great stuff, shows the progress of Russia in the beginning and how the Ukraine fought back

I second that. There are some guys on youtube that I occassionally follow who are into maps. One of them has gone as far as 3D google maps. Its amazing. Since a lot of the Ukrainian fortifications have been built for years, they appear on the maps. It makes a whole world of difference when it is pointed out what soldiers have to go through. Point A to point B looks easy until a 3D map shows narrow gorges, with high elevations on both sides, trenches dug at the top, presumably packed with weapons to rain dead on anyone trying to hazard in the valleys below...

A nice map on the Severodonetsk area. Bilohorivka I believe is where an Orc landing party received a 21 gun salute from Ukronazi canons. The Orc Army didn't appreciate it at all.

Here's a good visualization of how Putin's war aims have drastically shrunk:

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that "everything is going to plan ... there's no doubt that all the objectives will be achieved," the RIA news agency reported.
