The US Needs more Federal Holidays

It's only taken 500 years but the New World has finally come to a point where the majority of us think that everybody should be treated equally and nobody should be favored. One of many ways we express that is through the designation of federal holidays.
The problem we currently have is that some groups of people have multiple holidays and some have none that recognize their ethnicity, and/or gender identity. Do you feel that we should institute enough federal holidays so that every large group of people would have at least two of them that they can personally identify with?
 
Federal holidays are just days I can't get anything done with the government, without being added to the days I have until the government's deadlines.

Honestly? **** Federal employees, let them work 60 hour weeks and on nights and weekends like the rest of us.

Every day is a Federal holiday for many.

Yes this is how these people think. Their solution to inequality is not "lets make things better for everyone," but "lets make things worse for everyone."

I agree. We have 365 days in a year. Let's make them all federal holidays and make it against the law for anybody to work on those days, whether they are federal employees or not.
Only then will America be truly inclusive......
....unless group number 366 complains they don't have a day.

I vote for a White history month. I mean why not? It isn't like we don't exist, and isn't like we don't have a clear history in America.

Liberals would like it because it is the most inclusive plan possible. You do get an extra day on leap years so maybe you could throw another federal holiday in there once every four years on the last day in Feb.
How about National Tasmanian-American Transgender Atheist Day.
Wouldn't want to leave anybody out.

Do you agree with Deuce that giving federal employees 365 days a year off is a stupid plan? That doesn't sound very inclusive of you.

Where, exactly, does the US Constitution grant Congress the authority to establish a federal holiday?

The federal government needs to stick to the powers granted to it by the US Constitution. They are specifically prohibited from exercising any power not granted to them. That includes manufacturing holidays.

Every federal holiday is unconstitutional. Only States have the constitutional authority to establish holidays.

I do not agree with the left, which automatically makes me a "racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, misogynist, deplorable, and domestic terrorist." Which demonstrates just how mentally defective the left truly are.

Quote one person calling you racist for simply disagreeing with some opinion and for not saying something racist. Who called you racist when you disagreed with left leaning tax policies?

Sure doesn't. But then I'm not the one who thinks federal holidays are a sign or measure of inclusiveness.
