The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans (2 Viewers)

Government officials should not be discussing classified information on a commercially available communication platform that is vulnerable to foreign interference.
Send him a stern warning.

Would you be this dismissive if it was Biden ? (Or Hillary or Harris or........)

This was an error that gives us a clue that this administration is clueless on how to handle such sensitive information.

I pray this was a one off.....but given the fact that Trump is more about cronies and blind obedience....I think not.
Mistakes are sometimes made by the brigyminds. Even I made one just last year.

hopefully nothing. thanks to the good graces of the reporter who seemingly didn't divulge confidential information.
but such incompetence should be punished.
A ruler on the wrist.

If it had been a low level enlisted guy, he'd be looking at a tour of Leavenworth.

The idea that this was a "mistake" or "an accident" is ****ing absurd and any Trumper putting such an argument forward is a dishonest piece of shit. Anyone with any experience with classified information knows it's not okay to discuss it on commercial messaging apps.

This is another example of the blatant lawlessness of the Trump admin and the incompetence of its officials.

I am a lowly public servant who is a 100 times more trained on security and awareness than the leader of the "free" world and his cronies.
There is NO excuse for any of this to happen. It's a reflection of their stupidity and incompetence.

Rereading the text it also strikes me at how nonsensical the whole level of strategic planning going into this.

1. Hegseth justifies the strikes as "re-establishing deterrent", but this is the Houthis; they've been bombed for the past ten years. What exactly was this strike going to accomplish? Maybe it's said elsewhere but I didn't see any deeper planning.

2. Vance, to his credit, thinks more strategically. But he also seems entirely concerned just with messaging and complaining about Europe and wanting compensation. He doesn't appear to have an actual strategy re:ME.

3. Why Stephen Miller's input matters only makes sense when you realize it's because he has a close personal relationship with Trump. He offers nothing else.

Apart from being what should be a career ending security lapse this also just shows a lack of any real strategy behind these guys. The concern is mostly with domestic politics and messaging rather than any military objective.

It’s when Stephen Miller spoke up and said that it’s what Trump wanted that Vance started back- peddling as quickly as he could. They’re all a bunch of parrot cowards, and they know that Stephen Miller could get them fired with just a side-wise gkance.

I’m actually willing to believe Trump on this. It seems his advisors were keeping him in the dark given his extreme incompetence when it comes to military and foreign affairs.

Trump knows nothing about anything other than what he hears on FOX. They haven’t told him how to respond yet. Hannity will do so tonite. Trump will just lie about it until then. If you want to know what Trump thinks about it, call Stephen Miller and he’ll make up something.
