The trans debate

Yeah, who cares about women when you are able to get praise for condemning them to get beat up by males.

It's all about YOU.
CIS women get beat up by males all the time. It's called domestic abuse. Why don't you focus on something that is a real issue?

No, this has nothing to do with me as I do not participate in sports or watch sports. This makes me a neutral onlooker.

This has to do with competition classes. It’s the same thing as not allowing heavy weight and featherweight boxers to compete. If there is a concern here, then just add another competition class. In something like chess though, that would make no sense. It should be up to the various sports bodies to do what makes sense for their sport.

Nobody is picking their gender any more than a person chooses to be autistic. People are born transgender and become aware of it usually at puberty but it is certainly not a choice that anyone makes. The fact that they seek medical care to transition, so that their biological sex is as close to the gender identity doesn't mean that they chose too be transgender because of something they were taught at school, they watched a Pride parade, or a book they read.
How do you know this, that people are born transgender. What are your credentials for making this kind of statement.

Bigots said the very same thing 60 years ago in opposition to ending racial segregation in schools and sports.
Blacks take offense when compared to queers, gays and trans, but you'll go anywhere. Nothing is off limits.

Circular logic? Men are physical stronger than women. This is biological fact. So when you have a man competing against a woman in an MMA sport like the link I cited, it’s a ****ing travesty. This is not circular logic. It’s biological fact. This offends you because your of your ideology. But it remain reality.
Its why men and women are separated in the UFC and in football.

A man beating the shit out of a woman in an MMA fight is absolutely about women’s rights
It doesn't happen because they're separated, men fight men and women fight women.

No trans issues in the UFC, men know who they are as with women.

Just the opposite, its the far left that can't stop talking about bathrooms.
Really? I don't see that on DP. Or Xitter. Or anywhere. If anyone is talking about trans and bathrooms, once more, it's MAGA.

The entire fad is being driven by the left,

Utter nonsense. No one on the left even brings up bathrooms. It's only the right that has made bathrooms an issue.

They don’t seem to be. Hence the problem.
Perhaps not to your personal satisfaction, but that’s just you.

You are free to boycott them.

Are you calling trans people a fad?
One poster earlier in this thread even admitted that most trans people are children.

This all did not happen in a vacuum. This sudden enormous spike did not arise on its own.

Many black Americans are very conservative socially because of the power that the church wields in that community. They dont get a pass on bigotry because of their skin color. Re; Mark Robinson.

Neuroscience. Its not possible to be born cisgender and choose to be trans. This has been known for decades. This was first discovered more than 35 years ago after studying the brains of rats when given various doses of sex hormones during development.

This also makes the idea that kids are being groomed to be trans or previously claimed to be groomed to be gay absolute nonsense. If a person is LGBT they were born that way. We are now learning that it is caused by the effect of hormones in utero on 2 specific areas of the brain, but we are still not sure why it happens. Sex and gender are still very much the target of ongoing research.

Background: In contrast to cisgender persons, transgender persons identify with a different gender than the one assigned at birth. Although research on the underlying neurobiology of transgender persons has been accumulating over the years, neuroimaging studies in this relatively rare population are often based on very small samples resulting in discrepant findings.

Methods: Using a mega-analytic approach, structural MRI data of 803 non-hormonally treated transgender men (TM, n = 214, female assigned at birth with male gender identity), transgender women (TW, n = 172, male assigned at birth with female gender identity), cisgender men (CM, n = 221, male assigned at birth with male gender identity) and cisgender women (CW, n = 196, female assigned at birth with female gender identity) were analyzed.

Outcomes: Structural brain measures, including grey matter volume, cortical surface area, and cortical thickness.

Results: Transgender persons differed significantly from cisgender persons with respect to (sub)cortical brain volumes and surface area, but not cortical thickness. Contrasting the 4 groups (TM, TW, CM, and CW), we observed a variety of patterns that not only depended on the direction of gender identity (towards male or towards female) but also on the brain measure as well as the brain region examined.

Clinical translation: The outcomes of this large-scale study may provide a normative framework that may become useful in clinical studies.
