It's been done before.
The closest the gap between income and cost of living was reached in the 1950's if you notice the financial trend at that time there was a lot of buying going on.
Today it's finance finance finance 10,20, 30 yrs at a time
You would think that Savings and Loan sandal would have scared people off but no they just doubled down

America is so behind the times when it comes to their citizens quality of life it's not really possible to get there anymore. We top the charts at overworked and underpaid citizens. We border on 3rd world politics.

There really isn't anything wrong with having requirements on immigrants. The people of this country should not be expected to foot the bill for someone who has no means of supporting themselves. The idea that we will accept immigrants and then pay for their upkeep is not a good one.

We did it because we are large, and need the workers. We are going into the same situation right now. We need workers, and our population is dropping.
We're so good at shooting ourselves in the foot it should be our new motto.

In my day , bills were paid on time cars that were bought were older; finance existed but not as much as today.
A lot of people were average in houses that were average buying cars 5 , 10 sometimes 15 years old ,in short buying what you could afford.
Being average is not so bad.
As the old rock song says everybody wants into the crowded light.
A misconception of course , being average is kind of nice.
Most times once people get into that crowded light they start looking for an exit.

Okay children, let's get this straight. What most conservatives are against, is the people coming into our country and not working. That is taking money out of all of our pockets. If someone wants to emigrate into the US and are properly vetted and willing to work, they are welcome. The problem is, we are seeing some people flooding into the US that are not properly vetted and are not willing to work their fair share. I don't believe in giving people a free ride, everyone should have to work.

I think the problem is the other way around. Immigrants statistically do find employment And it is the local born and bred who do not bother finding jobs because they can milk a system they are born into. And then the same locals complain they cannot find work because immigrants are tasking their jobs.

In my day it was the communist are coming ,the communist are coming, The 5th columnist are coming, not too many people remember 5th columnist but I do
Hell, the Japanese, the Mexicans are already here and according to a lot of products, they provide a majority of products they should get theirs the same way a majority of Americans got theirs ,apply, for work get a place to live, make products for American services.
Plus we have more refugees coming,
I got no problem with refugees, but when they get here they should have the same rights I had or my ancestors had get a, job look for a job ,make out a resume,, fill out applications hit the bricks,

God I hope they are coming

Didn't Bin Laden live there for awhile??
