The Second Amendment you don't know

Its not a matter of gut feeling.These politicians have demonstrated through the laws they passed or attempted to pass that they do not support the 2nd amendment.

Ted Kennedy and Obama claimed the same thing

they just don't see the second amendment as recognizing an individual right or they pretend that as long as you can own one gun, your rights are intact

exactly, and the anti gun assholes like Schumer don't believe in individual rights. THe obvious intent of the second amendment was to guarantee MY right and every other citizen of voting age to own the same basic rifle that the organized militia uses (national guard, state police etc). If you don't think that right is recognized, then I will call you anti second amendment. You are clearly anti second amendment and you are anti gun

Guy has claimed that its irrational and stupid to own a gun for recreational purposes. That makes him anti gun beyond any doubt. same with his claim that only those in the active (ie they had answered the call up, selected officers and undertook a mission) militia were able to properly avail themselves of the second amendment protections. that is ANTI GUN

Its not a matter of interpretation. The 2nd amendment is pretty clear- the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. You either support the person's right to keep and bear arms without that right being fringed on or you don't.These politicians support all kinds of infringements on the 2nd amendment.

Yes, basically. The second amendment was intended to protect the people of the several states from federal interference with their militias, and the fourth amendment was originally intended to protect the people of the several states from unreasonable search and seizure by the federal government. The people and the governments of the several states were practically synonymous. "The People" meant the white, land owning, Protestant gentry who comprised the voting population of that particular state.

if you can claim the second amendment allows all the government crap that you want then it really has no meaning

but tell me-where does the federal government get the power to ignore the tenth since there is no proper delegation of any power to regulate small arms in the main body of the constitution

I will actually agree with this indirectly.

People who migrate here are the only people I see that actually want to threaten our 2A. GENERALLY.

The instant people start discussing how life is in a gun free Country is when I consider them anti-gun. Even though they might be using it as a form of reference.

Piers Morgan was doing this. I hated him before this, but I did respect how he got in the face of Nugent and that Conspiracy theorist I won't name instead of folding to extremism. When the majority of America wants change, only cowards back down when extremists try to use fear to make you change your OPINION! Opinions are the most basic form of freedom America is based on. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't know a thing about America.
