The Rise of the D Tea Party?

Okay hay, I'll give you one more chance, but I'm not going to be sucked into your silly games. Today, right now, what is an acceptable percentage of taxation for your income, from all sources. Give me a number, or we're done here.

I am 100% serious. ITs like asking me how much I want to spend on a meal.
*** and I rich or poor?
***sit down restaurant or fast food?
*** how much time to do I have to dine?
*** solo or with date?
*** what type of food? burger and sushi are two very different things that can costly wildly differently.

It depends on lots of things and there is no right or wrong answer without knowing what all the variables are.

I have always thought it is NOT how much one is taxed - but how one can live and enjoy life after the taxes are paid.

This Narrative has been all over the place the last ten days or so..."What are you bitching about, this is just Tea Party tactics, we have seen this before".....but I am not buying it. The Tea Party believed in free speech and free ideas, they did not tend to be mean, and they were interested in winning hearts and minds.

Beyond Beltway, Health Debate Turns Hostile | August 7, 2009

The bitter divisions over an overhaul of the health care system have exploded at town-hall-style meetings over the last few days as members of Congress have been shouted down, hanged in effigy and taunted by crowds. In several cities, noisy demonstrations have led to fistfights, arrests and hospitalizations.
As Ms. Castor began to speak, scuffles broke out as people tried to push their way in. Parts of her remarks were drowned out by chants of “read the bill, read the bill” and “tyranny,” as a video recording of the meeting showed. Outside the meeting, there were competing chants of “Yes we can” and “Just say no.”
At an appearance at a grocery store in Austin, Tex., on Aug. 1, Representative Lloyd Doggett, a Democrat, was drowned out as he tried to speak on health care change. One opponent had a mock tombstone with Mr. Doggett’s name on it.

Last week, a protester hanged an effigy of Representative Frank Kratovil Jr., Democrat of Maryland, at a rally opposing health care change. This week, Representative Brad Miller, Democrat of North Carolina, said he had received a death threat about his support.

The new left is coagulating around people like Sanders, Warren and anti-free speech advocates. This is good news.

Yep, and the whole "racist" meme from the left is nothing more than propaganda and projection.

Here's a pic from one of the first Tea Party rallies I ever attended. Those racist bastards.

In all the years of the Tea Party there was nothing like Berkeley.

i dont remember seeing "Not my President" either.

That's a different claim than what you just said. You said that while they were busy shouting down members of Congress with their "read the bill" antics (and a fair amount of incoherent screaming), they actually "believed in free speech and free ideas." And while they were physically threatening members of Congress, hanging them in effigy, or carving their names into tombstones for supporting health care reform, they "did not tend to be mean."

And now you don't recall seeing "not my President"? You folks just made the unofficial spokesman of the birther movement the head of your party!

After 8 years of slamming the Tea Party and referencing the supporters as "teabaggers" the Democrats are now figuring it's a good idea to emulate them. SMH

Just keep in mind that from here on out all Democrat Tea Partiers will be referred to as "D-Baggers".

Is the D for Donny? Oh no, he is just a ***** grabber.

Buh bye.....

The claim has not changed, this is not a different flavor of Tea Party political action, this is something more barbaric, more unamerican, more despicable.

The trick is to keep them aiming their fire at Republicans and Trump, not turning it into a circular firing squad targeting fellow Democrats.

That's not a Dem. Tea PArty, that's just business as usual for the left. A true "Tea Party" would be one that is willing to challenge the established Democrats. All this is asking for is a bigger echo chamber.

Great point.

Posting pics of token blacks is not exactly helping your case.

The claims are backed by references. You are free to check and refute them. Posting that link was easier than posing individual links or quoting Jane Mayer's book. "leftwing nutsite" is a weak ad hom. Facts can come from biased sources, even Breitbart (though that's rare).

Except that I choose not to read through the tin foil hat crap to get to allegedly valid sources. If you want me to read a source, provide something at least somewhat close to mainstream or I will not bother reading it.

I did not realize death was taxed. I helped administer the estates of both my inlaws and we paid no tax at all.

It is taxed above a certain income level to a point where the government in effect get's half of what one's estate is when they die.

How come my inlaws were not taxed for dying then?

Lol, you libs just can't help yourselves. Stop projecting.

And how insulting and racist of you to call the band Lieutenant Dan's New Legs (ldnl) "token blacks". Do you think they would perform at an event where they are considered "token blacks"? Do you think they consider themselves "token blacks"? Good grief, libs are some of the most racist pieces of **** on the planet. You must be so proud.

Uh, almost no one pays tax on an inheritance anymore.

The 2010 Act also provided portability to the credit, allowing a surviving spouse to use that portion of the pre-deceased spouse's credit that was not previously used (e.g. a husband died, used $3 million of his credit, and filed an estate tax return. At his wife's subsequent death, she can use her $5 million credit plus the remaining $2 million of her husband's). If the estate includes property that was inherited from someone else within the preceding 10 years, and there was estate tax paid on that property, there may also be a credit for property previously taxed.

Because of these exemptions, only the largest 0.2% of estates in the US will have to pay any estate tax.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estate_tax_in_the_United_States#Federal_estate_tax

Now, of course, if you're all about defending the wealth of the top 0.2%, argue away. :)

He is entertainment, however he is also quite representative of the conservative movement and quite influential. That's why the libruls hate him with a passion. They also hate that they cannot come up with their own version.

He's a clown. He knows it. No different than Howard Stern. He certainly does not represent mainstream conservatism, as much as the lunatic fringe would like to believe that. He caters to the lunatic fringe and those seeking entertainment.

If you had a clue what represents mainstream conservatism, I'd take you seriously. It's even more difficult to do so when you compare him to an oddball like Howard Stern.

I'm friends with plenty mainstream republicans/conservatives (I'm libertarian for the most part) that understand Rush is a clown. Not one of my conservative friends thinks Rush represents them. They're educated or otherwise critical thinking enough to see him for what he is. He's a shock jock, like Stern, but using politics as his platform.

If one thinks he represents the mainstream, that just means one is an extremist seeking validation from a radio talk show host.

Ah wrong

They are simply using a phrase that has come to mean resist no matter what. I do not support this idea since it is like it was stupid.

The liberals need to agitate not resist. Flood Ducks tweeter account with his previous tweets saying "I did not such thing" then add a video of him doing it. and then keep doing it and watch the head explode.

Send similar e-mail messages to national new outlets and social media and keep doing it.

Flood democrate congress people with audio, written and video messages telling them to get off their asses and respond to Ducks stupidity. And keep doing it.

Contact AG's in states (even those not your own) and ask them to join the other state AG's who are fighting the immigrant and travel ban.

Resist is stupid. Agitate is somewhat risky since it could backfire but he and President Bannen will know we are out here.
