The reliability of the climate change consensus and where to go from there

True but a fusion power plant is FAR less dangerous than the nuclear power plants we use today. No meltdown.

ADVANTAGES OF FUSION
Advantages of fusion

Don't want to confuse environmentalists any more than they already are?

EDIT: Using fission power plants would also ask environmentalists to compromise? I don't see that happening, either.

For someone who claims to be a scientist, you sure get a lot of things wrong.

At least I know not to mock disabilities.

Here's your limitation: you are clearly a sharp guy. You are not a tech slouch by any means. What you lack is probably formed during your junior high years when you discovered Ayn Rand and figured YOU MIGHT BE JOHN GALT! You seem to think you're so very sharp and that the reason that the EARTH'S SCIENTISTS differ from your conclusions is due to the fact that they want to keep grant money coming in so they "hide" the truth. They will literally do and say whatever they need to do to keep grant money coming in.

At no point do you ever seem to think maybe you are in error. I'm not saying you are but your rush to paint the earth's scientists as a giant cabal in order to square your conclusions against their's is pitiful.

...says the guy who wants to obsess over others' use of specific terminology but also wants scientists to "prove" things. LOL!

Most engineers I know are smarter about how science works than that.

You don't mock disabilities.:lamo Unless one is fat, orange, has small hands or is non-progressive, perhaps?

EDIT: Mebe you're making the claim that those with disabilities shouldn't be mocked unless they deserved to be mocked?
If that's true, the reporter with disabilities that first reported Muslims in NYC cheered when the Twin Towers came down on 9/11 then retracted that story deserved to be mocked by Trump.

Just don't.

Anyone can be mocked for choices they make.

I honestly can't believe I have to note this to you people: it is never OK to mock a disability

Are you 10 years old? Did you mommy and daddy not teach you the difference between disagreeing with someone, even disliking someone, and mocking a disability?

You say Trump had someone else take his SATs like it is a proven fact.

Let's assume you've read anything about Trump recently written. Obviously Mary, the niece, wrote the story. But apparently the SISTER, Maryanne, confirmed it in the released audiotape. Again, if you've read anything about the Trump family you will realize Maryanne was helped greatly in her career by Don's association with Roy Cohn and his political connections to get her judgeship and she's also been one of the family "enforcer" types who tried to keep things relatively quiet about the family. Granted it doesn't much sound like she's a fan of Donny, but then the entire family seems to be one giant stew of particularly unpleasant people. Fred Trump Sr. certainly did a good job of raising a family of vipers. Money probably does that.

Mary Trump Barry said:
“He was a brat . . . I did his homework for him” . . . “I drove him around New York City to try to get him into college.” “He went to Fordham for one year [actually two years] and then he got into University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams.”
(SOURCE)

I don't know the SAT story is a "fact" nor can I "prove" it. But a lot of Trump Supporters believed Obama was born in Kenya even when it was definitively proven that he wasn't. So you'll forgive me if I honestly don't care what your lot thinks about much of anything in regards to "proof".

Also: do you honestly think Donald J. "Hamberder" Trump had the brains to get into an Ivy League business school on his own merit?. The man who actually was able to run a casino into the ground??? How does one do business so badly that one can LOSE MONEY RUNNING A CASINO????

Those who dislike Trump always say he lacks brains but he managed to beat a well qualified group of republican candidates to become the Republican Party’s candidate for president and then he beat Hillary, “the most qualified candidate to ever run for president in the history of this nation.”

Plus Trump has delivered on a large number of his campaign promises. Something I have never seen another president do. Campaign promises are usually worthless.

In passing Joe Biden is no whiz kid either.

To be fair, many of us actually watch Trump himself.. And unlike so many of Trump's base we have (on average) more education.

but he managed to beat a well qualified group of republican candidates

He "out-republicaned" the Republicans. He definitely found a streak of bigotry and exploited a large number of well-meaning but largely uneducated folks. I will grant him that.

to become the Republican Party’s candidate for president and then he beat Hillary,

Indeed, the Hillary Campaign dropped the ball. And the Trump campaign (not Trump himself...since it is unlikely he knows where Iowa or Michigan or <instert non-NY, non-FL state here> is on a map) nailed it.

Of course we know that the majority of actual Americans (not artificially divided by the Electoral system) preferred Hillary and saw Trump for what he was.

Plus Trump has delivered on a large number of his campaign promises.

Wall? Nope. We're paying for it, thankfully only about 5 new miles of wall have been built where no wall existed before.

Booming Economy? Well, yeah in the first 3 years the economy continued to grow (as it had been doing since 2009 under Obama) but his hamfisted mishandling of COVID has now seen more Americans unemployed than in the Great Depression. The economy is probably going to tank before all is said and done (Friday we started seeing more red flashing from the Market), and all because America lacked sufficient leadership early on to get us ready for ensuing waves.

Made America an international laughing stock? Oh yeah! Definitely!

Appointed some "conservatives" to SCOTUS? Well, tbd I guess. So far the GOP gambit of loading up SCOTUS with nothing but hard-line conserva-toadies hasn't resulted in the wholesale Conservativisation of the Court Rulings though.

Something I have never seen another president do. Campaign promises are usually worthless.

does the kool aid must taste better sucked right outta the envelope without even bothering to diluting it in water?

In passing Joe Biden is no whiz kid either.

I don't like Joe Biden. He's infinitely smarter and a better human than Trump. But the bar's pretty low. Personally I'm hoping that if Biden wins he steps down due to health/age reasons and lets Kamila run things for a while.

It's never ok to mock someone's disability unless they deserved to be mocked. That may not be the credo you live by but that is the credo in which most people live by.

You want Biden to step down and let Harris runs things?? You really set a low bar for intelligence when you want Harris to run things. That is, Harris is low on intelligence.

It's never ok to mock someone's disability unless they deserved to be mocked.

Mock them for the reason they need to be mocked...NOT THE DISABILITY.

This shouldn't require explanation.

Hmmm, the guy who thinks injecting bleach to cure COVID is a good idea is your bar for intelligence? The guy who can't pronounce "origins" (repeatedly)? The guy who thinks Yosemite is pronounced "Yo! Semite." That's your version of intelligence?

You can start by ceasing to mock Trump and his lying.

He asked Birks if injecting a disinfectant was affective in stopping Covid. He never said it was true...He asked it. You just lied.

So you think his lying is a handicap he has? That he simply can't speak truthfully?

He asked it because he thought it was a really cool idea! Along with getting "light into the body" to fight COVID.

Look, I get it, you love you some Trump. You think he's the cat's pajamas and you just love every idiotic thing that drools out of his mouth from "hamberders" to "covfefe" it's all like golden droplets of beauty to you. You think his description of "uranium" is just the most erudite thing you've ever heard! That's sweet. You enjoy him.

And remember: Trump loves you! He really, really cares about you.

Prominent Meteorologist Admits Climate Debate Is About ‘Justice’

[FONT=Muli !important]ALARMIST MESSENGERS/CLAIMS SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

Prominent climate activist and meteorologist Eric Holthaus has admitted that climate change activism is not about climate science, but really about “justice.” Holthaus’ admission is merely the latest in a long line of ‘scientists’ and others admitting that leftist political radicalism is the true goal of the asserted climate crisis.
With a Tweet, Holthaus joined a long line of climate alarmists on the left now fully admitting that the climate “crisis” or “emergency” is not about the science after all. . . .

A few people might be claiming that but not everyone

Once again I find a person who dislikes Trump who feels he is a total idiot. Trump Derangement Syndrome in action. I’m sure he can find Iowa or Michigan on a map.

Trump didn't mishandle COVID-19 but Democrat Governors like Cuomo sure did. Cuomo forced nursing homes to take in patients with the virus and consequently infected the staff and other patients. Trump had a ship and had build hospitals to handle these patents and Cuomo didn’t use them effectively.

Gov. Cuomo admits he was wrong to order nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients
Cuomo was wrong to order nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients

Due to his warp speed program Trump will likely get a vaccine for the virus by the end of this year if not earlier. Normally developing a vaccine would take years.

At least you are not fond of Joe Biden. The Democratic Party should have run Bernie. I don’t agree with him but he is not as dishonest or corrupt as Joe. With Bernie what you see is what you get.

Kamala Harris is supposed to be the most liberal senator in Congress. I am too conservative to want her in the Oval Office. There is no doubt she used her talents to get ahead.

So are you denying Trump delivered on many of his campaign promises? I would say he has done much better than most presidents on the important one.

Trump's campaign promises - has he delivered on them?

Once again I find a person who dislikes Trump who feels he is a total idiot.

I have sufficient education to be able to tell a huckster when I see one. I can also identify an idiot when I hear one.

My God man.

You are really a leftist tool, aren't you. Please show where he said "it was a good idea." And you wonder why I make these confirmation bias claims about you. His remarks were of a question.

My God man. I don't particular like defending president Trump, but I most certainly don't want Biden to win, and when people who claim to be intelligence, make such silly remarks...

Please show us where he said he "thinks injecting bleach to cure COVID is a good idea."

So must inaccurate remarks by you, and you claim to be a scientist? You most certainly don't work for a first rate establishment. They wouldn't have someone who makes such mistakes in word usage.

He asked Birks if injecting a disinfectant was affective in stopping Covid. He never said it was true...He asked it. You just lied.

I can't believe these progressives, how they hold on to media lies. No wonder the left is so whacky.

So you think his lying is a handicap he has? That he simply can't speak truthfully?

Obviously, you are trying to one-up him on not being truthful.
