I don't disagree. I think the Dems have long abandoned the working class. But while the GOP is going to play the role of "working man joe", they might want to do something about getting union support. Perhaps getting rid of right to work states and giving support to unions would be a good start? My guess is the GOP will end up going the route Democrats in the 1930's and onward until the political shift under Nixon. We will start to see a split between southern Republicans and northern Republicans until the party splits on those lines.
Hah. You're about to learn what "abandoning the working class" actually looks like.
Would this right to work policy happen to have been created by a Republican legislature and governor?I do know. I live in a right to work state and everyday it's the same conversation about how the Democrats have abandoned the working people.
More government programs are not the answer. Propping up the economy with tax money is not sustainable and just drives inflation up. A freer more competitive market would be more beneficial to more people overall.Hah. You're about to learn what "abandoning the working class" actually looks like.

That's because many if not most of them can't kick their faux addiction, and they get fed that line every night. Meanwhile, the Republicans wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. In fact, having worked in a right to work for less state, I know that the reason that the rich got all of the money from the economic boom and the workers got jack shit is almost completely because of Republican policy.I do know. Right, it’s much better to create an economy that’s actually hostile to business success and for people to give the government “total power over their lives” instead. You're just regurgitating right wing talking points. The greatest con of the Culture War in the United States was the success of convincing American voters to ignore their own interests and give corporations total power over their lives.
I mean, Scatty Kitty's state passed a right-to-work law and the people there are blaming....Democrats. The power of right wing propaganda is mind boggling.

That is deep irony, well played.Conservatives will hail the strength of the economy on January 20, 2025.
Maybe that’s because left wing propaganda about how great everything is for everyone doesn’t actually reflect what people are experiencing. The power of right wing propaganda is mind boggling.

I'll agree that labor issues and the working / middle classes should be the primary focus of the Democratic party, though. I've said for years that they should let Republicans own the gun issue entirely. Let's see a Republican face explaining the why after every mass shooting.
Specifics? This is a bumper sticker.More government programs are not the answer. Propping up the economy with tax money is not sustainable and just drives inflation up. A freer more competitive market would be more beneficial to more people overall.

“The insistence on Democrats’ poor messaging or on the public just not getting it once again underestimates the financial uncertainty engulfing the lives of ordinary Americans—especially those seen as the base of the Democratic Party—and their anger about it. Post-pandemic inflation has been devastating, reaching a forty-one-year high in 2022, and driving up the costs of food, gas, and housing. Inflation chewed through the significant wage increases among workers due to state-level wage hikes along with a tight pandemic-era labor market. In 2023, the median incomes of Black and Latino households barely rose year-over-year, even as inflation remained high. Democrats have insisted that inflation has dropped to “normal” levels, but this means only that the pace at which prices are rising is slowing. Sticker shock has not abated.”
The Pain Creating a New Coalition for Trump
Despair permeates white, Black, and Latino working-class life. Democrats will have to find a new way to speak to it.www.newyorker.com
Apologies for the pay wall and I don’t want to give the impression that the author is a Trump supporter or that he makes any arguments in favor of Trump, he definitely doesn’t. I think, though, this is a really good breakdown of how many Americans were/are genuinely hurting and why just telling them how good things really are didn’t resonate.
There’s one.Where'd you get that from?
Republicans already began to "experience" a thriving economy after November 5. The right wing propaganda about the economy during the Biden administration was just that: propaganda.
That doesn't support what you said. There’s one.
