The Misinformation From The Left Continues

Odd that we're not seeing the surges in border states. Are the border crossers going to Missouri, Florida, Alabama, Georgia etc.?
Some people just don't like brown folk but are too cowardly to admit it on a public forum; thus they revert to the only weapons they have; lies and hyperbole, believing the racist disguise works.

The thing about this Is if you want to follow the current science of what we know. There is a good case to be made for about 50% of the country to get vaccinated.

People over 50
The obese
Those who have compromised respiratory conditions

Those 3 groups are generally high risk groups and should get jabbed. That is about 50% of the nation.

Most of those 3 groups are vaccinated at this point. People need to chill out with all the hysteria and theatrics. We won, we beat the virus back to a manageable place.

The first comment is so typical in left-bashing. It combines multiple issues and includes a mixture of truths.

Editing.. meaning includes many "untruths".

I want to explain #1 very briefly: Cali. Florida and Texas (and any other state in which unvaccinated illegals are bussed into) have higher incidences of the new Covid strain and higher incidences of unvaccinated because the Biden administration refuses to police our borders...The Biden administration refuses to force illegals to get Covid vaccinations before illegally entering the US.

Biden is wrong. If the migrants don't want to be vaccinated, they shouldn't be allowed to enter to the US.

No, you have won nothing. I don't know who your latest liar is, nor do I care. Do the words 'Delta cases surge' have any resonance with you? If it's so "manageable" why are cases surging everywhere in your country? July 16 article...

Nice attempt at diversion. Why are you concentrating on illegals when the issue is much broader? Or do you think only illegals bring viruses into your country? Perhaps you (conveniently?), forgot that your own citizens also bring in the disease themselves.

I don't know that this is about diversion; rather, I think it's about focus. Speaking only for myself, illegal immigration has a greater impact on my community and my state than most other states. "A majority of U.S. unauthorized immigrants live in just six states – including California (with the largest population at 2.2 million), Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Illinois. There are eight states with 5,000 or fewer unauthorized immigrants." https://www.pewresearch.org/hispanic/interactives/u-s-unauthorized-immigrants-by-state/
So how do we reach the anti-vaxxers, nota? "Pretty please with sugar on top" is not working.
I don't know. I discovered a week ago that a couple I know who are pretty progressive are not vaccinated and was asked by the wife to keep this knowledge to myself. Except for here at DP, I will, but I'm certain that all our mutual friends would be shocked to learn this. I am.

And I don't think that casting the issue as "Trumpists" vs "Bidenites" is any more helpful than calling those who aren't vaccinated and don't want to be "stupid" and etc. is. Flies and honey, you know.

Just for perspective:

New Cases per 100K:
CA: 8.6
MO: 36
FL: 44.8
LA: 47.2
AL: 22.6
GA: 13.8

We're telling everybody to get vaccinated, and the right is hosing their reader and viewer base with either antivaxxer nonsense or grievance over trump not getting credit for the vaccine.

You can't bothsides your way out of this.
You're always so pugnacious in your posts to me, and I can't fathom why. I'm not trying to "bothsides" anything. I do think that "the right" vs "the left" stuff is counterproductive. Okay, and silly and puerile.

In a fundamentally politically polarized nation such as yours, with ideological chasms between parties, it has always appeared from outside that there can be no compromise without some centre-ground party providing nuance and balance. 'I'm right, you're wrong', and vice-versa never works; and I guess that's why I find your country's political jiggery-pokery so endlessly fascinating.

I don't want to come across as if I am dismissing the impact the delta variant is having because I am not.

Covid deaths were down to about 140 per day and since the delta variant has appeared its up to about 240 per day. That's an extra 100 deaths per day which is a manageable number.

All this hysteria and hyperbole is likely making people more resistant to taking any vaccine.

1. Evangelicals. To reach them you must become god.
2. Republicans. To reach them they must have politics de-programmed from their psyche.
3. The deplorable rest. To reach them-actually best not reach them. You wouldn't want to contract something nasty-like ignorance.
4. Conspiracy theorists. There is no hope for them; they're special; unreachable.

The thing is Moderate Right is claiming that illegal immigrants are responsible, so the question is why aren't those states the ones with the highest numbers? Even among the border states there are varying rates. Added to this is migrants headed to the US are being vaccinated for COVID 19, so it's not as easy to lay this on all crossing the border. We'd need more data to parse this out accurately.

Cite your source.
Illegal immigration on our southern borders...Approximately 180,000 per month for the last 2 months in Texas alone...All illegals being let in by the Biden Administration are unvaccinated then bussed to other locations throughout the US.

Unvaccinated cases of illegals coming in contact with other unvaccinated cases...The effect is geometric and is seen the most in southern border states and where ever unvaccinated illegals are bussed.

Thanks, Biden Administration morons.

You spread disinformation as you have no evidence to support your claims, which are false. Without evidence, your claims are unfounded and dismissed as a claim made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence and need not be debated further. You can't show that CA has higher rates of new cases and lower vax rates than many red states not on the border.
There is no requirement by the Biden Administration (or US Border Patrol, for example) to force illegals to vaccinate before entering the US. You (and the Biden Administration) are the ones spreading the disinformation.

Arizona, Florida, California and Texas aren't border states?? What about the cities in states where illegals are bussed like Shreveport, La.?

Nice attempt at diversion. Why are you concentrating on illegals when the issue is much broader? Or do you think only illegals bring viruses into your country? Perhaps you (conveniently?), forgot that your own citizens also bring in the disease themselves.
And for your information there already exist travel restrictions at US-Mexico border crossings. You might want to read this...
You might also want to consider why idiots like Gov. Abbott repealed restrictions so soon. Furthermore migrants who test positive at the border are directed to local hotels for isolation. Facts are your friends; your misinformation won't win you any.
How do you know the issue is broader since contact among unvaccinated is geometric??

The Biden Administration is focusing on the unvaccinated...I suggest the Biden Administration focus on the unvaccinated illegals the Biden Administration is allowing into our southern borders.:ROFLMAO:

Illegals are unvaccinated when they enter the US. Figure it out, just once.

Scalise is criticizing the Biden Administration for giving unauthorized immigrants 'priority' for vaccines. So which is it?

“Now he [Biden] is saying that people who came here illegally can jump ahead of other Americans who have been waiting to get the vaccine.” - Steve Scalise

Biden is wrong. If the migrants don't want to be vaccinated, they shouldn't be allowed to enter to the US.
But the Biden Administration is allowing any and all illegals into the US and no one US official is asking if any illegals are vaccinated.
