The left's latest false narrative

Suppression of what? Your right to give out food to people in polling place lines?
Yeah and their right to receive it and to have the sustenance to stay in along line and exercise their right to vote.

FFS you were just on another thread whining about how guns and ammo shouldn't be regulated and now you're here arguing it's okay to stop people handing out water? Don't pretend the conservatives care about freedom, liberty or human rights at all. Y'all wanna have your guuurns and stop people voting.

I am quite sure if a local church set up a food trailer far enough from the polling location for the voters for food and drink, the state police would not start writing tickets or arresting people. Enough of the fear mongering.....you were lied to....own up.
That is not allowed. It is absolutely prohibited by this law. Even churches cannot give food/drinks to those standing in line to vote, regardless of how you think it might be.

It has nothing to do with what others said. I know how to read. I read the law. There is nothing in there that exempts churches or any other nonpolitical groups from this law, from being held accountable for what you claim. Hell, my voting place is a church but I guarantee that if they were in Georgia, they couldn't set up any sort of "free food/drink" table outside for voters.

Your kind will try to suppress that, too. Don't worry, the good people in Georgia will find ways around that, too. You fascism supporters will NOT win this fight. :)

The only fascism is from the extreme left, which we all saw during the "Summer of Love". You people got duped, you know it, yet are incapable of admitting to such.....shameless to the extreme.

They already did. This law doesn't allow for that. It doesn't. That 3rd provision of this part of the law prohibits setting up within 25' of any voter standing in line, even if they are 500 ft, 3 blocks, 2 miles away. As long as they are in that line to vote, they have a 25' distance where they cannot have anyone giving out "freebies", even if those freebies have nothing to actually do with voting (unless they are inside an office or out of sight of those in line).

Don't think for one minute that some acts of civil disobedience aren't in the works.

You have no idea how much this has fired us up for the 2022 midterms. That should not happen when your party is in power in Washington!

Wherever the line ends plus 25'. Just like candidates cannot themselves (in this state and some others) come up to a certain distance of people in line to vote. There was a complaint about this during the election period, claims that Harris violated this particular clause because she was standing on the other side of the barrier with a bullhorn. It was pointed out that the barrier was specifically setup for that 25' distance (or more) and that the line of people she was addressing (not even making political statements though) were a block or more away from the polling place, well down the street away.

There are at least two different distance requirements here, in this law. One is specifically for the polling places themselves, 150'. It basically puts a little politicking shield around that building where people are voting in. But there is a second one around each voter standing in line, in this case of 25', even if those particular voters (future voters) are blocks or a mile or 2 (hopefully not more) away. That means if the line gets that long, others have to adjust to the line as a matter of law.
The language in the bill establishes where the end of the polling station is with regard to Solicitation boundaries. Its 150' from the extremety of the building. Hence for those voters right at the 150' mark you have to add 25'. So if you want to be within the language of the law, you have to assume voters at the 150' mark and add 25'.

The language specifies:
1) within 150' of the outer edge of any building within which a polling place is established;
2) within any polling place; or
3) within 25' of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place.

There is nothing in the language about some imaginary line out to God only knows where and accordions out and back with the size of the crowd waiting.

You are seeing things which are not present.....their "false narrative" is hard to get over, ain't it?

The only fascism is from the extreme left

Your side is the side that despises voting rights. Your side is the side that wants to take them away from us.

We will NOT let you do it, and no Swastika-waving or Capitol invading by your side will change that. In the long run, you fascism supporters will lose. :)

Yeah, that's the left.....fired up over "false narratives".....go figure.

The right to own a gun is protected by the Constitution. Your right to have a Ding Dong delivered to you on a voting line is not.

Good. Please underestimate us. We beat the fascists in 2020 and we'll do it again next year! (y)

Did you not see the "or"? That means that there are two distinct distance markers, one dealing with the building, the other with individual voters in line. They are separate. It is not simply "add 25'". It is 25' in any direction from a voter standing in line, even if that line is far outside that 150' away from the voting place. I'm not wrong here. That is the way the law reads.

The bill establishes the two different limits. One is for the building, so that even if a voter is not within 25' of the building itself, there is still a 150' zone around the building. The other establishes a barrier for the individual voters, people standing in line to vote, which can be as far out as the line itself goes. Whoever is at the end of that line has a 25' zone of "no politicking" (so no freebies, no food/beverages) even if they are far away from the actual voting place, building itself. That is absolutely how the law is set up.

Note the barriers in the video posted. That is not because they are right outside the polling place itself. They are in fact blocks away. But like Georgia, Ohio has a law regarding politicking near voters in line, not just the polling place/building itself. That is why people were complaining about this particular "thank you" from Harris. Because she was "near" voters in line.

The anti-America people.. thugs won in 2020

The real fascists have been seen on TV all last year and they were NOT republicans. We will NOT let your kind remove voter integrity from our elections, to make our elections comical and lower than third world countries. Federalizing elections, removing the power from states, using paid pundits to harvest ballots, remove required signature verification from our election law.....NO you will fail and we will NOT be led by fascists or socialists......not in my lifetime.

You are seeing things which are not present.....their "false narrative" is hard to get over, ain't it?
I am not. I'm seeing how the law is written and going back to why they changed it in the first place. You are making assumptions that are not in that law. I am going by the letter of the law and what led to the changes in the first place.

Why do you hate voting rights, which are clearly spelled out in multiple constitutional amendments? Why don't you just move to a country where you don't have to worry about those pesky voters? There are no Democrats in North Korea! 🇰🇵

That's a pitiful excuse. The right to vote is protected as par multiple amendments. They are trying to undermine that. No rational being can argue that stopping people from the basic kindness of handing out water should be illegal because.... constuhtooshun. That shows a dismally poor understanding of the document and its intent, and frankly is just attempting to use it as a crutch and an excuse.

We are just beginning to see what you are going to do with our country, and it's not looking good, so far. The real fascists are in control today and watch their radical actions being implemented and it's only March two months in.....oh boy.

What led to the changes in the first place is that our Rethuglicans are a bunch of slavedrivers who want to keep the Black vote down. They thought they had suppressed it enough, but when we sent TWO Democratic Senators to Washington--no way, those rednecks can't handle that!

If they are poll workers, they absolutely could.

Oh no, the horrorz! Solving COVID-19, improving infrastructure, taxing those who can afford it, restoring our standing in the world, and such horrible other things!

I love voting rights and am 100% behind voter integrity and desire ALL eligible voters have the chance to vote. Your mischaracterization comes from losing an argument without any merit, whatsoever.

Got it. You beleive there is a Constitutional right to have a Ding Dong given to you while waiting in line. You must have a different copy of the COnstitution than I do. Can you steer me to the section of the Constitution this Ding Dong ban would violate?

LOL. Pisses you guys off to no end that the vaccines going into everyone's arms is a Trump vaccine.

I love voting rights

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You people DESPISE voting rights, not just because of what's being voted for--you know, horrible things like better healthcare--but WHO'S voting. It's Jim Crow all over again, and you and your kind support it. :)

History will not be kind to you people. (y)
