The latest right-wing attack on Democrats: ‘They want to take away your hamburgers’

She has denounced that FAQ as not accurate. It appears nowhere on her site and farting cows are not mentioned anywhere in the Green New Deal.

Of course she did. Because it caused a backlash that she didn't expect. That backlash forced her to couch her terms more generally. Now we have this...

From your link:
5 (G) working collaboratively with farmers

In other words the wording is so generalized that it still allows for what was in the original faq that was published. It is only reasonable for people to look at both and realize that the first faq is what she really wants...the "final" faq is political mumbo jumbo meant to make it look nice and acceptable. Ever hear of the phrase "Freudian Slip"? That's what the first faq was. The second faq was her trying to cover her ass and nothing more.

No where in that entire source, whether in the video or the article, did the words "unwilling to work" come up. She didn't say it. Just admit you are regurgitating conservative propaganda. Anyone who says AOC wants to guarantee income to those unwilling to work is lying.

She used those words when they first broke the steal.

The New Green Deal DOES seek to do away with hamburgers.

... unless there is an unpublished plan that outlines a way to keep cows from farting, that is.

People would be healthier without hamburgers but that's a preposterous proposition if it meant all beef should be removed from human consumption. 100 million cows and the men who make their living off those cows would cry rivers of tears.

Oh, you must mean like the "LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!" chant. Nearly three years later and the worn-out chant was unleashed yet again today.

I'll only repeat the soundbite of Michael Cohen, "Trump is a racist, a conman and a cheat."

Trump looked like a madman on drugs today. He looked and acted like a comedy routine at a cheap Catskill act. He even got caveman crude saying "and all of a sudden they're trying to take you out with bull****, okay". All he did was the same old schtick. He blamed Democrats for everything and denied all his miserable failures. Like Hanoi for instance and his reprehensible failure to condemn Kim Jong-un for the imprisonment, torture and death of Otto Warmbier. All he's doing with these madman rants is solidifying what was already solid to begin with his Neanderthal-ish base. To win the next election, he's going to have to do much better than that. He's actually pushing white-collar conservatives away with his lunacy.

Exactly! Don't forget "BUILD THAT WALL , BUILD THAT WALL!!' lol This time of the election cycle is a lot of fun. Not much substance, but you can't beat the entertainment. Both sides are cranking up their base. That's where the money is. Gotta get those coffers nice and full. Right now the dems are fighting to keep the youth in their base. Why do you think the dem presidential candidates have been dropping "F" bombs, and touting that ridiculous "Green new deal"? Sometime around January 2020, they'll start drifting back toward the center. In the meantime, Mika and Joe will continue to say the words "lie" and "Liar" 20+ times per show. Pass the popcorn please.:peace

What I referenced is not a FAQ. It is the Green New Deal. It predated the FAQ you are talking about. And AOC didn't write that FAQ. She removed it when she found out about it. That one of her aides read into it what he or she wanted doesn't change the original language.

It is dishonest to suggest that this was some big change that occurred because of backlash from a stupid interpretation put into FAQ document written by an aide that briefly ended up on AOC's website. That isn't what happened. The Green New Deal was never altered and exists in its original language before the FAQ went out.

This is what I mean when I say conservative propaganda. They are putting forward a false narrative and conservative voters are naively buying into it.

Green-New Deal FAQ

See the part in bold there? They're acknowledging that they won't be able to get rid of farting cows "that fast". In other words, yes...in the end she wants to get rid of "hamburgers" since...you know...without cows there are no hamburgers.

Why can't we just make hamburgers out of real hams? You can get them in any supermarket and they don't fart.

That would offend the Muslims.

This is false. You are placing your faith in the wrong news sources and disseminating propaganda.

.

Bull****.

It's right here in the FAQs...

https://www.heartland.org/_template-assets/documents/Green-New-Deal-FAQ-Fact-Sheet-Feb-7-2019.pdf

We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren't sure we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast...

It was posted and taken down very quickly... but not quick enough.

It is preposterous. And ludicrous... and fascist.

Just to be clear: us hamberder eaters are fine, right?

Served thusly:

To the news story,“They want to take your pickup truck. They want to rebuild your home. They want to take away your hamburgers,” former White House aide Sebastian Gorka declared at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday. “This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved.”? Really, seriously? He dreamed of taking our hamburgers and pick ups and rebuilding our homes?

Oh how I wish AOCs opponents were smarter than they are. Just share her information, put her policies front and center, get her in the media as much as possible. Attacking her is really the wrong approach.

Especially when a joke in a faq (albeit a bad one) is the material you are working from. It would have been better to emphasize her statements, take a point by point on it, and let people come to logical conclusions.

That is not the FAQs. Heartland.org is not a government website. Find this on AOC's website and source it. It's not there.
That is the EXACT document that she released at the same time as TNGD. SHE released it and then took it down.

Revisionist history will not save you.

If the hamburger you buy at the supermarket is farting - think about changing the menu. :lamo

So, do you know all the above from personal observation or on what AOC and her followers told you? Sounds like democratic socialist propaganda.

Just join PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals, ignore those that cannot see the light, feed em a steak.

Who could ever imagine that this would be a real thing in 2019. At the CPAC convention, Mark Meadows, Ted Cruz, Sebastian Gorka and others were warning the crowd that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to take away their cows. One man on the stage said "I have a lot of cows and nobody is taking away my cows!" This is like a massive mind bending and brainwashing.

The latest right-wing attack on Democrats: ‘They want to take away your hamburgers’
According to the latest attack line launched by some conservatives, supporters of the Green New Deal are waging war against one of our noblest and most treasured national institutions: the hamburger.

“They want to take your pickup truck. They want to rebuild your home. They want to take away your hamburgers,” former White House aide Sebastian Gorka declared at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday. “This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved.”

====================================================================

The right has abandoned Nancy Pelosi as their primary punching bag, replacing her with the 'punching bag rising star', Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Conservatives can't stop themselves, they're absolutely obsessed with AOC. My favorite comment came from Sebastian Gorka: Sebastian Gorka, he mocked her Green New Deal. “Remember this one, use it,” he said. “It’s a watermelon: green on the outside, deep deep communist red on the inside.”

We'll see how well it works in the long run. At the end of the day, global warming is real, and the effects will continue. I like how the Right has anointed AOC as "devil incarnate #1", but ironically they're doing the same thing that CNN and MSNBC did for Trump --give this person even more credence and power.

I came across this, as I was discussing with my family what to pick-up for an early Saturday dinner. Your picture inspired us to get some high-end hamburgers!

Then my work here is done. :2bow:
