Hey, I want to preface this thread by saying that I like Biden better than most all of the other candidates running for 2020. And, I think he's basically a decent person who is being victimized by the MeToo movement. BUT, it is rather funny to watch lefties have one standard regarding the right and another for the left and falling all over themselves in his defense.

Mika Brzezinski defends Joe Biden by saying that he is "extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way"

Nancy Pelosi says that Biden's behavior with women shouldn't be disqualifying

Whoopi Goldberg defends Joe Biden, saying that she doesn't want him to change his ways and blames his accuser, Lucy Flores, for waiting to speak out

Alyssa Milano, a vocal supporter of the MeToo movement says Joe Biden is - a warm, generous individual and supports him

And let's not forget that Hillary still defends her husband's indiscretions.

Now, do we support the MeToo movement with everyone or just against those on the right?

I think you know the answer to this. ;)

You think invading someone's personal space, which many many many many people in this country do, rises to the level of sexual abuse? Because that's what #MeToo is.

Maybe I’ve had too much sensitivity training but he really should keep his hands to himself.

He should, but it isn't in his DNA.

You know, if I finally met you after all these years, my natural reaction would be to give you a hug. And I probably shouldn't do that because you may be someone who doesn't like being hugged. So the best course of action would be to not hug you, but would you think I was doing something sexual if I did?

What's even worse than the Dem's hypocrisy when it comes to MeToo is the fact that they are hypocrites who have ignored this creepiness from Biden for years and only trot it out now, when they want to prevent him taking the nomination from their "chosen one".

If this doesn't get Biden to drop out before he's started, I predict you'll see this... Joe Biden's 2020 Ukrainian nightmare: A closed probe is revived | TheHill ...getting massive media attention.

Biden doesn't stand a chance.

Depends. The women who most recently accused him are supporting other candidates for the nomination in 2020. So THEIR candidates are okay, but not somebody who threatens them. So accusing and attacking Biden is fair game. But if they were supporting HIM, then he isn't creepy or a perv. Hypocrisy runs strong these days and the double standard is glaringly obvious.

Personally I think Uncle Joe is wishy washy, intellectually dishonest and hypocritical when it comes to political expediency, and if it is discovered and proved that he has committed malfeasance in public office, he should be held accountable.

But I don't believe for a minute that he is anything but innocuously affectionate when it comes to his interpersonal relationships, and making a mountain out of that molehill is politically motivated, malicious, and unnecessary. I like him personally and expect that he would be a charming and delightful dinner companion. And I wouldn't worry in the least that he would be inappropriate with me, my daughter, my granddaughter, my grand nieces, etc. etc. etc.

If we don't say enough and end this politics of personal destruction, there is no human on Earth who will ever qualify to run for office. All it will take is encouragement or a bribe to get somebody to accuse him/her and that ends it. Policy, agenda, vision, track record, accomplishments, outcomes, etc. etc. etc. won't matter.

No, if he has been little to loose with his hands then kick him to the curb.

Am tired of this parade of men with money and power who feel they are god's gift to women.

Kick them all out. How about that. Who's with me now?

So much of politics is hypercritical. If I do something it is good, okay, alright, but if you do the same thing or something akin to what I did, they it is bad, evil, not okay. Way too much with things as behavior and past indiscretions it is the R and or the D the counts. Not the actions.

Whether or not I’d find it sexual is a different question than whether it would be welcome. :D

I would welcome a hug from you, Tres and I wouldn’t assume it to be sexual but, in all reality, there’s a lot more for a guy to lose if he hugs a woman who didn’t welcome it than the other way around.

And the two women who came forward said nothing he did was sexual misconduct.

Nice fail you've got there.

I'd welcome a hug from you too, and I wouldn't think there's anything nefarious. But then again, I'm a hugger. I know a lot of people who aren't huggers, which is why I tend to err on the side of caution. But many people (including Biden) don't. It's better to simply not do it anymore. I suspect he may learn his lesson here. We shall see though.

We don't conflate Biden's puppy dog affectionate manners as a sex offender. I think everyone on the left knows this.

Sure, a few women are not comfortable with it, owing to the #metoo atmosphere, and Biden should take note.

The only story is the left's "me too" overreach, it's not about Biden at all. CNN, MSNBC, when they bring up the subject, they inevitably discuss #metoo overreach, and it is overreach. This is much ado about nothing, really.

I know a lot of brazilians who are touchy feely, very affectionate, and it's all very innocent, it's who they are.

Biden is a lot like them. This will not be a factor if Biden runs, and it sure as hell won't be a factor, if he wins the nomination, in the general.

I mean, look who he will be running against, a self-described ***** grabber of whom 22 women have accused him of sexual predation.

Wow. You REALLY haven't been paying attention. The MeToo movement has expanded to include many things, not just sexual abuse.

Yup. Only an idiot would want to run for president. No matter what happens half the country is going to be at your throat and the other party will obstruct and resist you every way the can, including endless investigations and law suits to stop you from achieving what the voters voted you to do. This is the reason that in 2016 we had the two most unpopular nominees in the history of our country.

Which one of the Biden accusers said he sexually harassed or sexually abused them? None of them.

They never claimed he abused them. #MeToo is about abuse.

You should worry more about the allegations of sexual abuse against the ***** grabber you admire so much. There were, at last count, about 14 of them.

Reminds me of when several years ago I was training in a manager at a place I used to work. We are in the South. Our home office was in the North. My trainee was getting chewed out over the phone by the administrative secretary over some stupid paperwork thing and he tried ending the conversation with, "I'm sorry honey. I'll do better next time". She went nuclear. I tried explaining to her that that's just how people talk down here. Then she went nuclear on me.

It depends...would you put your hands on his shoulders...run your fingers through his hair...stick your face in his hair, whisper in his ear, and kiss his head? Cuz then it might be the same thing as what Biden is being accused of doing.

Yup. Only an idiot would want to run for president. One who expected to be coronated by default and the other who honestly wanted to do something good for America and isn't one to back down from a fight however unfair.

Invading ones space is the opinion of the ones space who is being invaded. Only they can determine whether they felt offended sexually or otherwise. The more I watch it the more I think he has some kind of weird sexual fetish. Creepy uncle Joe.

Now, do we support the MeToo movement with everyone or just against those on the right?

You just want a response, don't you?

A response along the lines of pointing out that to the extent there is hypocrisy, it's on the part of right-wingers denying that any/every accused right-winger is actually guilty while pretending to care whenever a Democrat is accused. Right?

And you want that so you can say some more stupid dishonest bell**** at the person raising this point, thereby eliciting another response. Right?

Stuff the swill. Trump supporters - indeed, just about everyone on the right at this point - lacks standing to speak of sexual assault. You're only fooling yourselves when you claim to care but always defend what you see as "your team" and attack what you see as the "other team". The guise of pretending to evaluate how strong the evidence is in a given case is more than transparent.

Go sit in a corner.

Wear a special hat.

Cool story. You alt-righters sure do love to think about sex, don't you?

Lol, yeah I do like to think about sex, don’t you? The difference is creepy Joe can’t seem to keep his hands and nose to himself. If he came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders, and started smelling my hair, and whispering in my ear I would cold-**** the MOFO. Lol

I doubt he wants to smell your hair. According to your gender, you're a male. So you have to keep your fantasies to yourself. Maybe Trump will sniff your hair and get you all excited?
