The greatest sin may not be exactly what you think. In fact it may be far, far worse. See the following entertaining video and tell me what you think. Is C. S. Lewis right or wrong? Cartoon/doodles inspired by the original 1942 broadcast. Has anything changed?

Without watching the whole vid I would say the greatest sin is the "unforgivable sin" of Matthew 12:31-32
31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The sin of unbelief is the greatest sin

Romans 6:23

New American Standard Bible

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You are correct. The sin that prevents one from entering into an eternity with the LORD, would be the very worst. Don't you think that sin would have to be the rejection of GOD's most precious gift of SALVATION. I believe the HOLY SPIRIT comes to the door of everyone's heart and knocks. HE whispers softly and says, JESUS is the MESSIAH/CHRIST. HE went to the cross on your behalf. HE gave HIS life for you. HE arose so you may live with HIM forever. Accept HIM. Trust in HIM. HE loves you... Open your heart ----- please. Don't turn JESUS CHRIST away.

The sin would be to say, "NO, NO, NEVER! I can't, I will not! Let me alone! Go, away!"

The rejection of salvation in CHRIST's will not, cannot be forgiven. And the Bible seems to indicate that if CHRIST is rejected and rejected and rejected, that the acceptance of salvation in CHRIST's becomes harder and harder and harder to accept. The HOLY SPIRIT will not enter a locked door.

Seems pretty self-serving to me. And predictable. Of course a religion's first goal is to sell itself.

Without going into detail I'll simply say the "unforgivable sin" is related to Genesis 3:15 and anti-Christ.

I would take it you aren't a religious man then if that's what you think

But that's just it! It's all about a personal RELATIONSHIP with the SAVIOR, and not about membership fees or joining a club. So, there is no money to be made in that. Besides, GOD owns everything already anyway!

Yeah, that makes a lot of assumptions. What I see is just another religion, run by people.

Well, you can go to a library and borrow a Bible. You can study it. And you can visit websites. None of this costs anything but some of your time and energy. The next step would be to look up some church congregations and sit in the back (or anywhere for that matter), and see how you are treated and what is being taught. Does it jive with what the Bible says? Are they begging for money from you? And all the time you should be in prayer and see what happens. My suggestion would be BIBLE churches. Any church that claims to fully regards GOD's Word as inspired. You don't even have to attend a church. Perhaps simply call the church office during the week and set up an appointment with the pastor. If he cannot be bothered ----- forget that church and try another. Let your prayers and fingers do the walking.

You're making more assumptions...that I haven't done those things and found your religion...wanting.

There is no such thing as sin.

There is no such thing as sin. It has never been found by science and is a threat by religion to keep the punters in line.
But the madness of it I all people pray for forgiveness for their sins. How do they know they are forgiven? They don't because nothing happens. That's why people continue sinning. There is no penalty. Is all rubbish.

You favor this line of thinking because then you are not accountable for being a horrible person.

Contradiction.

Like those that say, "Not perfect, just forgiven"?

Perhaps the greatest “sin” is thinking the Bible is the actual word of god.

Perhaps the greatest “sin” isn’t recognizing, and thus totally disrespecting Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Krishna…

Why is it so predictable that threads like this focus solely on Bible bullshit while completely ignoring other faiths and beliefs from around the world?

The simple answer might be because not many (if any) from those aren't representative here.

Wanting in what way. Churches are not made up of perfect people. But the regard is for people who are humble.
