Now we have the GOP backing police unions who are supporting bad cops. The unions are supporting cops who have killed people on video and still the GOP backs them. It does not seem that long ago when the GOP complained bitterly about unions supporting bad employees and that we should get rid of unions. So, Why has the GOP changed their tune about unions? And if police unions can support bad employees and have the GOP supporting them, why not all unions?

And just like that, most Democrats and the Democratic Party became rabidly anti union. Or I should say openly anti-union. The Democratic Party has been anti union for a long time - deciding they hate American union members on behalf of non-union illegal immigrants.

The police unions (sadly!) are the source of the problem with police!
Most cops are good cops but when civilian control (governors, mayors, city council) attempt to get rid of bad cops the unions dismiss them as if they (the unions) are not accountable to civilian control, but rather they, the unions, are IN CHARGE.

The GOP from the 20th century is nothing like the GOP of the 21st century.

The GOP of the 21st century are exactly like the Democrats of the 1960s, socialist Marxists seeking to centralize and expand the size and scope of government's power. It was the GOP who created the Department of Homeland Security and the TSA to violate our Fourth Amendment Rights. It was the GOP-controlled House that added $20 trillion to the National Debt. It is also the GOP that passed repealing ACA 39 times while Obama was President, knowing he would veto the bill, but never once while Trump was President, knowing he would sign the bill.

The GOP want the unconstitutional ACA as much as the Democrats, because they want the government centralization and control over one fifth of the economy.

The GOP have become Democrats, and just like the Democrats, traitors to the US Constitution, their constituents, and the American principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

All public unions need to be abolished, not just the police unions. Every public union subverts democracy and should never be allowed to exist in a free society. We do not elect our law-makers to do collective bargaining with unions. If they are submitting to public union demands, then they are not abiding by the will of their constituents that elected them.
