People need to start thinking about turing tests... now.

That is the attitude some men have about women. They serve a role, nothing else.

What exactly does this have to do with abortion? As far as I can see, this is about a fully independent, sentient being of mechanical origin.

What really shocked me is how the model is disassembled for thinking, but put back together for feeling.

It kind of reminisces today's society. Thinkers are despised. Feelers are admired.

...mechanical origin.

Did you catch the part about sexual disposal?

Yes. Still not sure how this relates. If anything it's a metaphor for misogyny.

Well I definitely agree with that. Women who support abortion in the case of girls are self-hating.

You'll note the robot was manufactured for merchandise. It implies that abortions are only alleviated when believing in the possibility of being a productive member of society.

You'll further note that the robot was tasked with minding kids and appointments similarly to women who work in public education and social services.

I'm not exactly sure how supporting a woman's right to make decisions about her body is self-hating, or woman-hating. I don't understand how denial of rights is loving. War is peace, I suppose?

Again, the robot was a fully independent and sentient being. It bares no resemblance to a ZEF.

No, similar to the misogynistic societies of past. Women who do those things now choose to do them. They are not tasked with them as an expectation of their gender.

cause I have the right to.

No doubt, but are you programmed to exercise that right?

I feel like you're wasting your time in making simple-minded comments about a complex issue.

So abortion is going to lead to robots?

que?

You seem to be sure because you ignored referring to unborn girls.

How do you know this? It could have been malfunctioning and simply expressing statements calculated to give it the best chance at preservation.

You seem to be confusing expression with impression.

How is this robot any different from women who choose to be prostitutes?

I don't especially care what gender the fetuses is, or will be. I care about what the woman wishes to do.

So? Your brain is just a complicated organic computer, as well. And you do what that computer tells you to do. Doesn't make you any less able to assert your desires. The lack of "magic" does not negate the reality that this robot had a desire to live and expressed it. Organic humans are not magical, either. I have been over this with you.

How is this robot any different from women who choose to be prostitutes?

She wasn't choosing.

Bad analogy is bad.

News at 11.

What is hatred beyond not caring?

Mmm...

...you might want to go over theory of mind. Computational theory isn't the only one out there.

She wasn't choosing.

Then how is the robot independent?

How can I hate girls if it wouldn't make any difference if the fetus was male? I still think a woman has a right to abort.

I'm not really talking about a theory of mind so much as I am how the brain operates.

Then how is the robot independent?

Just because a woman was born with her parents expecting her to be a nurse doesn't mean she's not independent. Someone's outside expectations have no impact on the individual's intellectual independence.

Certainly a thought-provoking video about the possible ramifications of making computers smart enough that they might start asking "what about me?" .... but as for how it relates to abortion, except in a very tenuous sense, I'm really not sure.
