The futility of modern atheism

See, here's how this all works.

Somebody makes a claim. They claim they have proof.
The "proof" is questioned by many.

Bickering back nd forth ensues.

Nothing gets solved.

People who believe, have the proof they need. Regardless of whether it's "proof" or not.

People who don't believe, don't see that there's any proof.

Many who believe don't agree with any others who believe.

Basically, it's an individual choice.

Your proof isn't my proof.
Her proof isn't my proof.
Your evidence isn't enough for me.
Her evidence isn't enough for me.

Which is why it's all called "faith".

It's not called truth. It's not called fact. It's not called law.

Faith.

Faith isn't about "truth". It's only about "your truth".

Why on F'n Earth should "your truth" be "my truth"?

Take your truth and be happy. Leave me to my truth.

No it isn't, the burden of proof for the atheists claim "I see no evidence for a God so I have no belief in God" lies with the atheist, you owe it to yourself to be 100% certain about being able to recognize evidence for God if you ever where to encounter some.

It is the atheists making the claim of no evidence and it is the atheists who seem to have no idea how they'd test this or that exhibit to determine if it is or isn't evidence.
Lol! Saying i have not seen any evidence of a god is a very ordinary claim that needs no evidence. I havnt seen the evidence. This is silly.

Well the existence of science is surely evidence of something, there's surely a reason for it being there and we cannot use science to explain why science - so the explanation must be outside of science, non material, supernatural - AKA God.

So it may not be proof of God but I think it is evidence, consistent with a God and a creative act.
Lol. Lightning is evidence of Zeus checkmate atheist? This is a god of the gaps argument.

When, in fact, the only HONEST answer to "the cause of the universe existing" is I DON'T KNOW!

Of course it is, and to state otherwise is intellectually dishonest. We can only observe the (macro) universe back to the moments after the BB (according to current theory), however, we are attempting to look further back through the exploration of quantum physics and the subsequent experimentation we see at CERN. I have been reading articles that suggest our 'local' universe (that is, that which we can observe) may be a 'part' of a greater universe in which localised 'Big bangs' occur, and ours may not be the only one.

To assume a god is involved in the creation of the universe is a fallacious and a somewhat primitive argument from ignorance.

What you are doing is called "witnessing", which is basically just restating your beliefs. It's a free country, so go to it, but it all just sounds like gobbledygook to an atheist.
Witnessing is testifying of your experience. There’s a big difference and this is what I’m trying to get through to you. For the born again Christian life has gone beyond a simple faith. It is now trust based upon spiritual experience. It’s not gobbledygook.

To assume that life evolved from nothing is smart? Look back as far as you like, and you still be faced with the same question. Intelligent Design. A Creator. How did it all begin? Prove it! There’s no hypothesis without a beginning.

Who created the Creator?

More "god of the gaps".

I don't know, therefore god.

I created the universe.

Absent any other evidence, I'm prepared to settle for that.
Thanks for the universe!

No problem!

I am testifying that I created the universe.

THINK ABOUT IT!

The OP says:

The "can it be explained without God" test.

The universe itself fails this test, it cannot be explained scientifically, its presence cannot be accounted for using science, matter, energy, laws - because all of these things are part of the universe.

Therefore the universe exists because of God and by extension everything within the universe too, all mass, energy, fields, laws everything is here because of God and could not be here any other way.

He actually had it wrong and he didn't try the "Can it be explained without Jetboogieman" test.

Can I get an AMEN !?!!?!

Christians/churches have the responsibility to be witnesses for God. We embrace it willingly. This is not a debate for me. I am simply stating the truth as I have experienced it.
What of the other religions? Are there multiple gods? Is there one god worshiped by different religions? If there are multiple gods, which is the right one?

You ridicule but you have no answer. You claim to be intelligent, but you ridicule. Do you realize that whether it's Christian or otherwise vast majority of people acknowledge the existence of a Intelligent Designer. You can act like children. It's your right to behave immaturely if you choose, but one day you will answer for it. You will answer to the God you deny exists. Shame on you.

I'm A Christian. I worship the God of the Bible. Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me." That's what I believe.

It makes no difference how many people "acknowledge". You still need to answer my question. Who created the Creator?

Do you believe the Buddhist, the Hindu, and the Muslim are all condemned to hell? Do they believe you are condemned to hell, which is the correct religion?

What would you believe had you been born in Pakistan to Muslim parents in an Islamic culture???

Or had you been born in India to Hindu parents in a culture steeped in Hinduism?

Who created the Creator?
Which creator? Early humans created many different creator Gods in an attempt to explain existence and events naturally occurring, and found them useful in controlling others, as do some still today.

I've seen some theists claim to believe God(s) exist and others claim to know God(s) exist.
I've found agnostics to vary greatly in their certainty about the possibility of God(s) existence.
As an atheist, speaking for myself, I find no need for the existence of God(s) relative to the Universe or life within it.
If I felt there was a need for the existence of God(s), I would consider myself to be agnostic, but as I don't I am content to call myself an atheist.
Essentially I can agree to believing an infinitesimal possibility though I believe a zero probability of anything I would call supernatural exists.

I find threads such as this tend to indicate the futility of theism desperately trying to grow/maintain subscribers to their beliefs in the modern world.

So the position they adopt is "I do not hold a belief in God" but do they not grasp? this is logically indistinguishable from "I do hold a belief in not God".

Nonsense now, and always will be.

On a totally unrelated topic, do you believe Thor does not exist?
