Trump did not create the coronavirus so blaming him for it is just stupid. What we do need to see though is how his administration handles what could be a pandemic. Trump needs to lose the it will hurt the stock market and get to work preparing the country for what might happen. People say we are overblowing this possible problem. I believe it is better to over prepare and not have a serious problem with this virus, than not be prepared and have it kill thousands of Ameicans, wouldn't you? So eveyone get down off he politics of this possible crisis and let the administration do what they can. Complaining about what Trump has done in the past that might make this a larger problem is not going to help.

His poor choices in his response to the disease put people in harms way, and could lead to unnecessary additional contamination.

Trump may not have caused the virus, but his complete lack of leadership on managing it harming its management. He should let health experts do their thing and fund them fully, not put Mr. HIV Epidemic in charge.

Your demand not to criticize POTUS for that lack of leadership is absurd. Maybe you don't know how democracies work?

It is the democrats fault for opposing travel bans before this started and having big blue cities full of foreigners.

That said, this does have the potential to transform work in a good way. If forced to, employers who having been lagging might learn the value of more people telecommuting. The savings in toilet paper and flushes will be huge.

Trump vs. the virus it is now. Let the Russians slide then it's the Chinese with their many viruses we need to worry about

No one is saying he created the virus, however, how he has handled it already and how he will handle it affects people in the US. Previously, he has been dismissive of the urgency of this situation and has now even muddled words along of the lines of Maybe it will just go away. Does that sound helpful?

Utter nonsense.

It may not be his fault yet that is not how he acted during the ebola
scare when Oblama was president.
I am starting to think that there is something seriously wrong with President Obama's mental health. Why won't he stop the flights. Psycho!
-Trump tweet...16 Oct 2014

I don't see anyone blaming Trump for the virus, many are blaming him for his response and his lies about the virus.

Years ago Trump called Obama a psycho for his response to Ebola scare. Now Trump's in charge and taking heat for his response to Corona-virus . If he don't like being called names and the criticisms then he can quit, or stop all his name calling and insults and act like a leader instead of a 10 year old child..

Agreed.

This is how they are handling it so far...

”The vice president’s first move appeared to be aimed at preventing the kind of contradictory statements from White House officials and top government health officials that have plagued the administration’s response. Even during his news conference Wednesday, Trump rejected the assessment from a top health official that it was inevitable that the coronavirus would spread more broadly inside the United States.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the country’s leading experts on viruses and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases, told associates that the White House had instructed him not to say anything else without clearance.

The new White House approach came as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention acknowledged Thursday that a California woman with coronavirus was made to wait days before she was tested for the disease because of the agency’s restrictive criteria about who may get tested.”

Uh, OP, no one is blaming trump for the virus. We're blaming him if he responds poorly to it, which he did before it even started, dismantling our government's preparedness for a pandemic.

Damn them foreigners working on H1-B visas authorized by Trump.

Authorized by all those swamp critters he is purging from gubbermint.

Yet requested by corporations located in the US. Go ahead and try to shift the blame yet Trump is the president and can make the quota for such visas...

Trump needs to take the blame for saying things like this:

"It's going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear"

a lot of thin skin and projection over in Trumplandia I see.

Short of mass-producing a vaccine in time (soon) to distribute freely, I don't believe there's a thing that anyone can do to stop this disease now. Trump's response looks like he cares more about the market's reaction, which may hurt his electability this Nov.

So far as I know, all categories except immediate relatives are set by statute, not Mr. Trump.

His poor choices in his response to the disease put people in harms way, and could lead to unnecessary additional contamination.

You wouldn't be privy to such information if it actually happened. Fact is you're hoping he fails so can feel justified in your hate.

The president can control the HB-1 visas...

Yet, foreigners are in all cities across the US no matter which political parties have people in control and you know that yet you refuse to recognize that fact.

His poor choices in his response to the disease put people in harms way, and could lead to unnecessary additional contamination.

What were these 'poor choices' you speak of? And keep in mind there has been no outbreak of the virus in the US.

Soooo because Trump acted like a 10 year old in 2014, you and the rest of the left get to act like 10 year olds today. Ok, fair enough. We agree. The left are behaving like a bunch of 10 year olds.

Now that is a really dumb message.

Larry Kudlow is on the Bloomberg Business channel right now. He's trying to calm fears by claiming this will be short lived and the market is fundamentally sound and will rebound. He also praised Trump for how he handled his press conference (did he see the same one we did?)

He said he believes that "The way he's handling this will have a very positive effect on his re-election campaign. I think it was one of the best press conferences I've ever seen him give."

Actually I am anti Trump and you would know so if you have read any of my other posts. I did work in health care for over forty years and now we need to see the administration giving the providers the help they need if this becomes a problem in this country. Then we can judge by the outcome. I am saying to wait and see and not make things worse by lambasting the administration until we see how they handle this problem.
