LOL So being vision impaired does not preclude being a crack computer repairman? I know enough about computers to know that is not true. Next you will tell me he also raced at Indy. Being handicapped does mean it is harder to find a source of income though. I expect that is no longer a problem for him.

I new a (legally) blind TV repairman. Most of his repair work was still done completely by himself, but for some fine tuning of picture quality (and pick-up/delivery tasks) he had a young, non-visually impaired assistant help him.

The truth is the FBI has been in possession of Hunters laptop for several years. Whatever Rudy "found" is not his laptop and most likely came from the Russian FSB. Rudy was paid $500,000 by a Russian so I would guess he needed to do something to earn it.

I don't know for a fact exactly what Rudy has, and I don't think I care. The computer guy has copies he made of everything on Hunter's machine. He's been talking to folks in congress. Elements of the FBI are likely going to have some problems, and this may fuel that fire. There's also an element of retribution by the newly elected House that must be figured into the mix. Some democrats may lose their committee seats. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm going to build furniture and just watch.

Rudy gave that info to the "computer guy". He got it from the Russians. The FBI has possession of Hunter's real laptop and have for years. That is why they told everyone not to trust anything that comes from Rudy. He took a $500,000 from Russia and this was how he earned it.

Mac Isaac appeared nervous throughout. Several times, he said he was scared for his life and for the lives of those he loved. He appeared not to have a grasp on the timeline of the laptop arriving at his shop and its disappearance from it. Throughout the interview, Mac Isaac switched back and forth from saying he reached out to law enforcement after viewing the files in the laptop to saying that it was actually the Federal Bureau of Investigation that contacted him. At one point, Mac Isaac claimed that he was emailing someone from the FBI about the laptop. At another point he claimed a special agent from the Baltimore office had contacted him after he alerted the FBI to the device’s existence. At another point, he said the FBI reached out to him for “help accessing his drive.”
Mac Isaac referenced the infamous Seth Rich conspiracy theory—which holds that a DNC staffer who police say was murdered in a botched robbery was actually killed off by Clinton allies because he leaked committee emails—as reason for his paranoia. He said he made a copy of the hard drive for the purposes of personal protection.

“They probably knew I had a copy because I was pretty vocal about not wanting to get murdered,” he said, “so I’m going to have a copy.”

Mac Isaac refused to answer specific questions about whether he had been in contact with Rudy Giuliani before the laptop drop-off or at any other time before the Post article’s publication. Pressed on his relationship with Giuliani, he replied: “When you’re afraid and you don’t know anything about the depth of the waters that you’re in, you want to find a lifeguard.”

Seeming to realize he’d said too much, he added: “Ah, shit.”

So Rudy was your lifeguard? the reporters asked. “No comment,” he replied.

If there is, say, child porn on the drive, by passing that drive and any information pulled from it to someone else, the repair tech is actually complicit in the transfer of said child porn. Or of there is a database of private information still on the drive. Or a host of other reasons.

Once the system was eligible to be claimed by the shop owner, he was supposed to wipe the drive.

I'm just saying....as a former repair guy, we used to have a weekly protocol to wipe systems when they went unclaimed. It was specifically to prevent us from passing information to someone else we weren't the owners of.

I can't account for Don Jr., and see no reason why I should. I'm not sure exactly what it is he really does that should be significant to me. And I definitely don't care what anybody says on FB. The Donald would be wise to stay out of the laptop furror at this point and let the House do whatever they're going to do.

Which are protected against unreasonable searches and seizures by the Fourth Amendment. The only interesting question a GOP House will pose is if there are enough actual Republicans left in the entire party that believe enough in the Party as an actual force for governance to save it from the wounds it is about to inflict on itself. You would have thought they would have taken the message from the mid-terms. But they are so politically inept now that the mid-term message just flew right over their heads. Even those opposed now to Donnie and the dingbats can only manage to say that they should abandon Donnie because he causes them to lose elections. That, GOP is a comment on POLITICS, not on GOVERNANCE. If the GOP never comes clean and admits to the country why Donnie and his crowd are political LOSERS, the rest of us will not trust the GOP to govern. Another earth shattering message to the GOP, there are more Independents than there are either Republicans or Democrats and you lost them. You are losing GenZ too and they are coming on like a freight train.

The shame of it is that they actually do have a few good candidates they could at least put forward in 2024. None of them are named Trump, DeSantis, Abbott or Pence. All four of the names have been tainted beyond repair for general felection to National office by the last six years of GOP tomfoolery and nonsense and won't be showering themselves with laurels between now and 2024.

But OK....go ahead.....I can live through 2 years of a GOP House led by laughable Kevin F-ing McCarthy. I doubt the GOP will live through it.
