Since my thread about banning porn may easily by the most commented on thread I’ve ever posted, I felt like sharing this editorial from the New York Times, which basically affirms some of what I wrote in that thread.

Its site is infested with rape videos. It monetizes child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, racist and misogynist content, and footage of women being asphyxiated in plastic bags. A search for “girls under18” (no space) or “14yo” leads in each case to more than 100,000 videos. Most aren’t of children being assaulted, but too many are.

After a 15-year-old girl went missing in Florida, her mother found her on Pornhub — in 58 sex videos. Sexual assaults on a 14-year-old California girl were posted on Pornhub and were reported to the authorities not by the company but by a classmate who saw the videos. In each case, offenders were arrested for the assaults, but Pornhub escaped responsibility for sharing the videos and profiting from them.

it is truly despicable. But hey as long as pervs can fap off with the lights out, it’s just the free market and women’s empowerment right? Just a little action between consenting adults?
 
Child porn is already highly illegal. What you want is to ban ALL porn because you're a fascist puritan who thinks the government is a weapon to force your morality on others.

I mean, you're the guy who believes women shouldn't have the same rights as men, so I don't think anyone gives a damn about your opinion.

Please go to Porn Hub and do those searches and show us any under age girl in any of those videos. When you search teen you get tatted up 25 year olds.

He's a guy who thinks its impossible for a wife to be raped by her husband. He believes she has no legal right to say no.

No. It is unlawful not only to possess child pornography, but to receive, distribute, and display child pornography. This possibly implicates PornHub, as they possess, receive, and display pornography. The NYT and other sources are exploring the idea of whether Pornhub is implicated considering the volume of the material on the website and the amount of complaints.

This isn’t about shutting down PornHub because of lawful pornography.
 
Banning all porn because of abuses is the same as banning all gun ownership because criminals kill people with guns.

"People should not have children because they can be abused at home, abused at school, kidnapped and abused by strangers...is that where this is going?"

Because there are those that will abuse someone or something, NO ONE should be allowed to do it?

Yes, no one should be allowed to rape 9 year old girls on Camera. I’m amazed you believe this is a controversial statement. And people wonder where Q-anon came from.

Pornography is intrinsically evil whereas firearms are morally neutral and subject to prudential regulation by the society.
