Defenitely not!
I have never come across anybody who prayed to the Queen: "Holy Saint Elizabeth, have mercy upon us!"
It would be like saying that Trump supporters worship him. Oh wait..

I know who you were talking about and they had a vote.

When all is said and done, Brexit was simply about the majority of UK citizens wanting to leave the European Union. The rest of your nonsense is just sour grapes over the UK leaving the EU. Perhaps someday, you will think about the issue more rationally and objectively and accept that the UK did not desire continued membership in the EU and leave it at that. Calling them idiots just because they do not share your point of view says more about you.

They wanted to leave the EU because of lazy xenophobia and some mythical sovereignty issue, which they could never really explain. They didn't care about the huge economic and social damage it did.

They're not worshiped.

There is one curious exception, though. :)
Maybe PoS has read too much about it:

The Prince Philip Movement is a religious sect followed by the Kastom people around Yaohnanen village on the southern island of Tanna in Vanuatu. It is a cargo cult of the Yaohnanen tribe,[1] who believe that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the consort to Queen Elizabeth II, is a divine being.

According to ancient Yaohnanen tales, the son of a mountain spirit travelled over the seas to a distant land. There, he married a powerful woman and in time would return to them. He was sometimes said to be a brother to John Frum.

The people of the Yaohnanen area believe that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the consort to Queen Elizabeth II, is a divine being. They had seen the respect accorded to Queen Elizabeth II by the colonial officials and concluded that her husband, Prince Philip, must be the son referred to in their legends.

LOL your idiotic nonsense with comparing royals to presidents pretty much confirms just how silly monarchy loving Europeans are. Thanks for playing.

Nope, the idiotic nonsensical claims are all yours. Presidents who have purely ceremonial functions are like royals, that you are not able to see or understand something so simple is not our problem.

And indeed thanks for playing, you loose again.

He worked as some kind of journalist in Brussels, and so he knew best that his reports from there were mostly false.

His lies are epic and the stupid English/Brits (meaning the ones who fell for it, not the whole nation) fell for it hook line and sinker. Examples:

1.
Under the headline “Italy fails to measure up on condoms”, Johnson revealed in the Daily Telegraph that “Brussels bureaucrats have shown their legendary attention to detail by rejecting new specifications for condom dimensions”, despite demands from the Italian rubber industry for a smaller minimum width.

the actual truth is that it had nothing to do with the size of the condoms but about the safety of condoms. Size and width had nothing to do with it.

2. he claimed the EU would ban prawn crisps, which was a lie, the fact was that the EU compiled a list of flavorings and sweeteners, the stupid UK government had forgot to add prawn crisp flavor on that list, the UK government made an amendment and the Prawn cocktail crisps are still sold in the UK

3. He claimed the EU were banning recycling of tea bags, which is as always a totally phony story but Boris

4. The EU was banning children under 8 were not allowed to blow up balloons. Which was again a lie, all the EU did was require manufacturers of thinner latex balloons to add a warning that adult supervision was required out of safety reasons. Stronger balloons needed no such warning. This was just another lie by Boris Johnson

In your deranged opinion. But not in the opinion of the great majority of the British people.

So keep your snotty nose out of our business.

Except there is nothing "deranged" in my opinion. I could care less what the English people think about Farage. And you purport to be Swedish? Then it is also none of your business either. Also, this is a debate forum and I will post opinions about who and how I like as long as it does not break our rules on this forum.

"I am happy they have gone" - they meaning the British from the EU. Your posts are anything but "happy". They reveal you as seething with spite, malice and outright hatred.

For my part I am genuinely happy, indeed joyful, that I have lived to see Britain escape from the loathsome clutches of the anti-democratic EU. Once again Britain's democratic choice in no business of yours.

More fake comments I see:

1. nothing undemocratic about the EU
2. I am happy they are gone so that the EU can finally take decisions without the whiny English constantly slowing down the process
3. the Brexit affects all of Europe, so I can give my opinion and if you don't like that, well I could care less
4. the UK did not need a Brexit vote to leave, but they do have to comply with the rules regarding the leaving process. If that offended the idiots lot that supports Boris Buffoon Johnson (as in Brexiteer politicians) then again, I could care less.

I think that it was also Boris who invented the legend about the EU demanding that bananas should be straight instead of bent.
And many EU-hating "little Englanders" were stupid enough to believe him and voted for Brexit.

Exactly. Euro fascism is part of their genetic makeup.

More nonsense I see from PoS. Because if Euro fascism is part of our genetic makeup, well then why would someone from Europe not think racist KKK views are part of your genetic make up?

I would not say this of course because I know both things to be total BS. Fascism is not part of our genetic make up and neither is racist KKK views part of your make up.

PS, how would fascism be part of cosmetics? Last time I checked most cosmetics do not have genetic make ups.

He also claimed that some EU politician, who was nice enough to invite him to a soiree, lived in a castle, knowing full well from his visit to the man's home that he lived in a normal house with a small back garden. Johnson was known for being a lying piece of crap then and he never really mended his ways.

  • Total voters 33
And so far none of them British, it seems
It is possible to be interested in the news, even if they have no personal effects for you.
It would seem that it was my own damn opinion.

You asked what side that we were on, as if we had to pick a side. My answer is screw both sides, no one needs psuedo-royality first world problems.

I'm on the side that thinks the royal family are a bunch of parasites that have plundered their country (and others) for generations and should be stripped of all their wealth, status and power. It's 2021, royalty shouldn't exist.

I mostly agree, but it should be left up to those in the UK to decide. Other than as a tourism draw, I see no benefit to having a royal family.

This week we are having elections for our national parliament here in the Netherlands. Vulnerable elderly people were allowed to vote by mail, and then normally on the Wednesday we have one day of in person voting. And we have plenty of voting locations, nobody really in any city needs to use a car to vote (at least the vast majority does not), I can just walk to mine in about 5 minutes.

But to make this about the royals, because of covid19 there are now three days of voting, Monday and Tuesday some voting locations are open for vulnerable people who do not want to have to deal with the normal lines (and with lines I mean a line that is about 5 or 10 minutes AT MOST) can vote today and tomorrow too. But for that extra voting time and locations new volunteers were needed so our King and his wife had filled in a form saying that they would like to volunteer at a voting location but because of the efforts of local government to find volunteers, so many volunteers had come forward that our king was told they had all the volunteers they needed.

@ German monarchies

This was our last monarch, here in the Grand Duchy of Baden:

Frederick II (9 July 1857 – 9 August 1928) was the last sovereign Grand Duke of Baden, reigning from 1907 until the abolition of the German monarchies in 1918. The state of Baden originated from the area of the Grand Duchy. In 1951–1952, it became part of the new state of Baden-Württemberg.

He abdicated on 22 November 1918, amidst the tumults of the German Revolution of 1918–19 which resulted in the abolition of the Grand Duchy. After the death of his cousin Carola of Vasa, he became the representative of the descent of the Kings of Sweden of the House of Holstein-Gottorp. On 20 September 1885 in Schloss Hohenburg, he married Princess Hilda of Nassau, the only daughter of the exiled Duke Adolphe of Luxembourg.

It all boils down to making the choice to not be a member of the EU. God bless them for exiting.
