the breakfast thread

Scrambled eggs, bacon, and Swiss cheese in a crepe. Cuppa joe.

3 egg omelette and rosemary potatoes, cuppa joe. The omelette was way overcooked. We won’t be back for breakfast again.

Bacon, egg, and cheese McHelix. This time, I changed up the spices and added shredded Mexican cheese. It worked better than the American cheese slice.
Coffee.

I finally had a shakshuka and it was great. I’ve seen recipes for it but never got around to making one. We were at our favorite breakfast spot here on the island and I didn’t hesitate to order it. Washed it down with a cuppa joe.

eggs over easy, turkey bacon, rye toast

Diet breakfast sandwich
1/4 caff.

2 eggs over medium, bacon, potato galette, ww toast w/butter, cuppa joe.

Sausage, egg and Swiss cheese on an English muffin. Fruit salad , hash brown, oj and coffee. Hospital food itastes good when you are not feeling good. Thank you to the dietary staff.

Normally I don't eat breakfast any more but I had to test frozen breakfast sandwiches for work.

The results:
Schneider sausage, egg & cheese: was best by far. The box packaging keeps it from getting deformed during transit and the plastic wrap keeps it fresh.

It looked good before we even warmed it up. Warmed up it keeps its shape and the muffin doesn't get mushy.

A Canadian company I can't name: product not released yet they are trying to emulate Tim's breakfast sandwiches. They need to season the meat a bit.

Jimmy Dean: inedible, literally. The samples we had all had bread that was rock hard in the center leaving us to nibble the mushy edges.

Why were the edges mushy you ask? Because Jimmy Dean packaging is not air tight. Which probably also explains the dry hard bread.

So in conclusion Schneider is one I'd eat again if there wasn't a McDonalds nearby.

Are you eating breakfast at the hospital as a patient or as an employee?

Had blueberries I needed to use up, so we had blueberry pancakes this morning.

Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches including Delights are better when you toast the frozen bread part in a toaster.

Hope you get better soon.
Thanks. I wish It was that easy. They still dont know or how the blood loss was caused. I had lost half of my blood volume by Sunday night when I went to the ER. I am at home now and trying to catch up on mail and cleaning my apt.

My cat finally came out and I was able to make up to her with toys, brushing and generous quantities of catnip for being gone 3 days.

Cream of Wheat and toast.
It's my go to when hubby aka Sleeping Beauty isn't ready to eat. It hit the spot.

Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on 9 grain bread, cuppa joe, cranberry juice.

Yogurt and toasted raisin bread. Right after breakfast, got started on tonight's dessert,

Grape-nuts nuggets with milk, OJ, tea.
