the breakfast thread

Diet breakfast sandwich
1/4 caff.

Diced, sautéed red pepper, onion, and zucchini in scrambled eggs, half a buttered English muffin, cuppa joe, V-8.

Half a waffle slathered in butter, topped with macerated strawberries and whipped cream.
A quart of strawberries does not last long around here. You snooze you lose.

Today's McHelix :
English muffin
Egg with salt, pepper, hot sauce, and turmeric
Shredded cheddar cheese
Vegetarian sausage. It was going to be bacon, but we're out. The sausage was a great addition, though, and I'm glad that I substituted it.
Coffee.

Belgian waffle w/butter, real maple syrupal, sliced banana, crispy bacon, cuppa joe, V-8.

Another experimental McHelix :

English Muffin
Egg with salt, pepper, curry powder, and hot sauce
Shredded Swiss gruyere cheese
Vegetarian sausage with added salt and pepper
Coffee.

This one was pretty good. I like trying different combinations so that I can find one that I really like.

I had a VA appointment for a fasting blood draw this morning so we had breakfast at Perkins afterwards. I had a veggie omelette, hash browns, rye toast, cuppa joe and water.

We ate at Lamana in Wilson. Wife had bacon, egg, kale, on a brioche bun, decaf coffee. I had bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant, and iced chai latte. We enjoyed both meals even though it may have cost us double than stopping at Dunkin. On to Myrtle Beach.

I hope that you have a good trip.

Well, we decided to go to Boardwalk Billy’s for dinner. From what we read, There wasn’t any hint that you should probably make reservations. When we got close there were cars parked along the road and further down the parking spaces around the restaurant and two large overflow lots were jam packed. We had my wife’s oldest daughter and oldest granddaughter with us. So I thought about going to an Italian restaurant I read about but it was back past where we started from. I just pulled back out onto the highway when my wife spotted a Panera’s. I said: that works for me, and in we pulled. I ordered a pick 2 of a Mediterranean sandwich and a Asian chicken salad and washed it down with a ginger ale.

Bacon and egg on a buttered, toasted, English muffin, cuppa joe.

Today is another travel day. I had a diet breakfast sandwich and a hi-test coffee. We play a frustrating game called "What did we forget?" when we travel. This time, it's :

THE ****ING SUITCASE WITH ALL OF THE KID CLOTHES IN IT.

It's mostly ok. I brought the dirty clothes and did a load of laundry. I'm going to see if that's enough here in a minute.

At least we didn't forget the dog.
