The Egyptian sun god Re was usually depicted in human form with a falcon head, crowned with the sun disk encircled by the sacred cobra. Re was said to traverse the sky each day in a solar boat and pass through the underworld each night on another solar barque to reappear in the east each morning. He was said to have created humankind from his own tears and the gods Hu (authority) and Sia (mind) from blood drawn from his penis.

Being in the form of a man, Re grew old. In time men no longer feared him or obeyed his laws. They laughed at him, saying: "Look at Re! His bones are like silver, his flesh like gold, his hair is the color of lapis lazuli!"

Re was angry when he heard this, and he was more angry still at the evil deeds which men were doing in disobedience of his laws. So, at the terrible glance from the Eye of Re his daughter Sekhmet came into being, the fiercest of all goddesses. Like a lion she rushed upon her prey, and her chief delight was in slaughter, and her pleasure was in blood. At the bidding of Re, she came into Upper and Lower Egypt to slay those who had scorned and disobeyed him.
— The Story of Re

The sun god lives again.

Re grew angry at the evil which men were doing to the planet. Behold the corona, the crown of the sun. Behold the crown of Re, the cobra which spat forth the coronavirus. Men fell and died from the celestial venom. Humanity fled to their homes. Their chariots were stilled, their giant birds fell to the ground and their great ships were stranded at sea. The air and waters were cleansed. Re was pleased and ordered that the venom from his crown fall upon the people every year until men repented and changed their ways.

This is the new Story of Re sent through his messenger. For decades, falcons have guided his way. In dreams he travelled in the barque of Re. A strange affliction drew blood in his urine. The messenger led a modest, childless life and much of mankind will follow. When the falling sun of Re sets in the West, he will be followed by Atum and a night of rest and recovery. Look to Jin in the East.

good analysis i love these types

all myths are jsut nature

Correct...worshiping the creation rather than the creator, originates with paganism...the worship of “nature gods” by the Israelites was apostasy, a suppression of truth in favor of a lie, an unreasoning course of worshiping the creation rather than the One who created it...the apostle states as much in Romans 1:18-25...

Yet there are those Christians who choose to mingle paganism with Christianity...go figure...

i mean its whatever as long at it doesnt interfere with our religion

As innocent as they may seem, paganism in any form offends God...he made that clear in the Bible...remember the golden calf that the Israelite nation built and claimed it was to worship God? The Bible says they provoked God...I choose not to provoke Him...

Yes, it is a part of your worship, if you are a Christian...Jesus never commanded us to observe his resurrection but he did command us to observe his death...that should tell you right there what he thinks of Easter celebrations...Luke 22:19...

the easter bunny is for kids for gifts, The feast and celebration are for Jesus

One of the reasons Christianity was so successful was it's ability to incorporate pagan rituals, practices and feast days. Constantine was one of the people who made sure of that. Christianity also has deep roots in Zoroastrianism and Sun God worship. This does not diminish Christianity, it actually makes it more inclusive.

I also admire Christianity for it's willingness to change and mature over time. Sure, a few centuries ago Christians were burning un-belivers and witches at the stake and even a hundred years ago Christians often treated native populations poorly. But modern Christianity has evolved into the most concerned, caring religions ever to exist. Unlike Islam, which seems stuck in Middle Ages Medina.

BTW; I'm an atheist.

A few things, Ra did have a cobra on his headdress, but you say the "cobra spat forth the corona virus". The issue there is that the Egyptian cobra does not spit, it is not a spitting cobra like some other African cobra's. So not sure that to make of that.

And yes, Ra was in a rage and sent Sekhmet as a lion to kill all of humanity but after just one day of her rampage Ra took pity on mankind and tricked Sekhmet into stopping her slaughter. So when you say Sekhmet slay those who has scorned and disobeyed him you are ignoring the fact that he stopped Sekhmet from doing what he had sent her to do (destroy mankind).

Also, you make it out like there is one creation story in Ancient Egypt, this is not true, there are many.

The christian faith deserves no admiration IMO, if those were not willing to bow to christianity, then those people were destroyed or subjugated, enslaved and murdered. Most wars in the old times after the establishment of christianity were wars to destroy those who dared to defy christianity. Witch trials, jailing of people who thought different, the evil that is anti-semitism, forced conversion of Indians/blacks/latino's and asians.

Nah, christianity has been no blessing to mankind. Hopefully the current and future generations of chistians will live up to what they say their faith is, a religion of love rather than the religion of fear and violence it was for many centuries.

Ooh, and yes, I am also an atheist. But that is just part of my negative view of most of the world's main faiths (Islam is just as bad if not even worse).

Careful there elvira, your sounding a bit like an atheist.

And if a Christian does not mingle paganism with his/her worship, but keeps it pure, as God commanded...what does that make that person?
