Progressives do that to Christians all the time. I just ran into a new slur for the first time: "christofascists"








One doesn't have to live in Syria to at least condemn the excesses of radical Mahometanism. Progressives never do. Bring up the atrocities of Mahometanism and they immediately do a tu quoque; asking, what about Christians?

The reaction of progressives does not stem from admiration or tolerance of excesses in Islamic society. It’s based on the knowledge that such excesses do not represent the norm under which hundreds of millions of Muslims live. It would be similar to having those few Mormons in the part of that religion that practice polygamy represent the entire religion. Secondly, it’s also a reaction to things like Trump’s suggestion of a total Muslim ban.
