Interesting admission Ken, perhaps the DOJ should look into this... Seems like an outright admission of voter suppression...

"If we'd lost Harris County—Trump won by 620,000 votes in Texas. Harris County mail-in ballots that they wanted to send out were 2.5 million, those were all illegal and we were able to stop every one of them," Paxton told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon during the latter's War Room podcast on Friday.

"Had we not done that, we would have been in the very same situation—we would've been on Election Day, I was watching on election night and I knew, when I saw what was happening in these other states, that that would've been Texas. We would've been in the same boat. We would've been one of those battleground states that they were counting votes in Harris County for three days and Donald Trump would've lost the election," the Republican official said.

Wow, I sounds like a confession.

I'm not convinced. A good number of those 2.5 million would have voted in person, so you have to apply some estimate of how much mail-in increased the vote, elsewhere but Harris County.

I'm also going to drop this graphic again:

Texas for the Democrat next year is a real possibility. The state Party needs to work hard! Texas going blue would be decisive.

Sounds like Paxton has lost his marbles.
Perfect fit for rump's VP.

What's matters here is not whether he's correct about "saving" the election, but that he admits he used his office to try.

Yes indeed. Republican talk about voter fraud obsessively, to distract attention to the more significant factor of administrative fraud.

I still think it matters what the result would have been WITHOUT disenfranchisement. Some prospect of winning next year would give the state Party much needed motivation.

Yep.. Texas registration is a pain in the ass and not easy for voters...

Ken Paxton belongs in jail with Trump.

this was always painfully obvious, but it is still nice to hear it again......

Then there is this. A bill that lets the secretary of state of Texas overturn elections in Harris County. And only Harris County. No other county. Just that big black one.

Something else is going on in Texas. The Republican House didn’t suddenly have a come to Jesus revelation. They garnered 84% in the vote to bring impeachment charges against the sitting AG.

That can't be legal.

It is not. That bill will be challenged in federal court and will be tossed.

Texas wonders why the rest of the country thinks they are all scum.

Which is why we've seen so many Republican controlled state governments propose and pass so many new laws restricting same day voting, mail in voting, even the number and location of drop off ballot boxes.

They fear being voted out.

Would Abbot be the governor if it weren't for the actions of Paxton? IT looks like Abbot was and is a willing accomplice to his crimes.

When the scumbags say the question part out loud.

Again.

Time for Abbott to be rolled into a prison cell.
