According to Texas procedures, the officer under impeachment is removed when the recommendation is passed.

That's the guy who offered a $1M reward for anyone who could bring proof of 2020 election fraud... and then had to pay a Dem for proving Pubs cheated?

That's amazing. First some TX republicans for for a gun bill, now this? Are we sure they are just libz in disguise?

He's a crook without a doubt. TX though? I wonder what hasn't come out that will...
 
I am shocked they actually did it.

It is my hope that he is indicted and serves hard time at Huntsville.

Yes, I know some Republicans are not too bad, but this is Texas. I can't imagine the AG being impeached for even the worst crime he committed.
 
As a Texan, I hope they lock his ass up and I hope Abbott and Patrick are next in line. They are an embarrassment, and for the record, I didn't vote for them.

That's what we all said but he did get impeached. Hopefully, he serves hard time for the next 20 years. He should also be disbarred.

He will definitely be disbarred for life. Too many crimes against him, and some of them will result in prison time.
 
20 counts in the impeachment. Trump has weighed in and promises revenge if this goes through.

He’s been under indictment for eight years.

It would be interesting to see what the last straw was.
 
Pundits are opining that there are enough votes in the Texas House to bring impeachment proceedings against the AG, Paxton. With some of the reps who have stood up and recounted the offenses, there seems to be the support for impeachment. I would be surprised if politicians get out in front of what the majority will vote for.
